Those look fantastic. If you don’t mind me asking, did you get a deal on those?, I thought they were really expensive. Also what are they actually mounted to?. Thanks in advance

Swapped the shocks and springs for AEV's high capacity springs and XP 8100 shocks. I'm a dummy and forgot to measure, but we probably gained 3/4-1 in, with a bit more rake in the back. Once I get my LRA aux fuel tank and a few other goodies installed, I think it'll level out.

The ride, though, is fantastic. It feels much more planted and confident, and there's no longer any sponginess in the rear. Overall I'm very happy so far. Gonna do a shakedown run at SMORR next weekend!

I put these on my '22 jtrd and hated the Grey plates. I took them off with the intent of taking them in to be powder coated flat black. But once I took them off, I loved how they look! I don't see a need to put the Grey plates back on.
How have your steps held up over the bit of time you've had them?

Thanks for showing this! I have been thinking about taking the grey panels off for a while now, because it throws off the red and black look I'm going for.

I'm still debating on the shower setup I'm going to go with. How do you like the camplux? I've been looking at a similar brand but haven't pulled the trigger.
So far so good. Heats up quick and gets pretty hot. For the price you can’t really beat it. A lot of these different brands are pretty much the same thing.

1. Changed oil
2. Put on my ASFIR engine and Quadratec transfer case skid plates?

The oil is super easy with the Fumoto valve and accessory hose. I just slide an empty 5Qt jug underneath and put the hose in, open valve, then go up top and change filter. Not a single drop spilled underneath.

the skid plates were a fiasco.
Why the mix of brands? Because I ordered both Quadratec skids in august and still haven’t received the engine skid. Customer service absent. I get monthly emails saying it’ll come the following month.
I had received the transfer skid in like october and have kept it in the garage since.
Finally got tired of this B@llshit waiting and ordered the ASFIR engine skid.
They kinda/sorta fit together but janky.

the Q skid covers a lot more in the middle but hangs a bit lower than stock. I haven’t decided if I’ll go back to stock.

First hand wash of the year. Had to get it all cleaned up for my sons first soccer game lol.
Planned on putting my new soft top on but it’s super windy out and weather is turning to crap again all week anyways. Spring/ summer weather will eventually get to Illinois.

The Motor/Control Module in the driver side Rockslide Engineering Step Slider failed this past week. Called RSE and over the phone we troubleshooted the problem. Evidently the control module failed. Normally after a few minutes of inactivity, the control module goes into power save mode. For what ever reason the module was stuck in power save.

So RSE sent out a replacement motor/control module and I just finished the swap this morning. Aside from unbolting these monsters off my JT, the part swap involved two locknuts and an e-clip, EASY PEASEY.
