Drove a California Back Country Discovery trail today (on the Modoc National Forest).
First pic is from yesterday on BLM lands near Pine Creek.
Trails today were much easier to drive.

Where exactly is this if you don’t mind me asking? I see you’re from New Mexico…I spent a little time there for work and loved the terrain and have been dying to go back.

Nice pictures!

How are you storing the sunrider? Will be taking mine off soon and looking for ideas. It's a bit bulky and awkward.
I have two hooks on the wall in my garage that I hang it on by the rear cross brace in a manner that the hooks don't hit the canvas and leave dimples. The hooks are plastic coated and shaped like this: \___/----- and they screw into the wall (studs of course for strength).

Went bird hunting with my Rescue Brittany. He’s had some apprehension issues but is getting better each time we go out hunting. Great day.

Brittanys are the BEST dogs!!! Grew up with them and had two as companions as an adult. Nice looking Brittany ? ? ?

I remember the first Brittany my parents had. Their pastor asked if he could take her hunting with him, and Dad said, she's never hunted at all but she's not gun shy as we would go to the cousins in upstate PA and they were always shooting at things and she never flinched. Well, on to her first hunting trip...She worked the fields looking for pheasant and found one. Stopped to a perfect point, the pastor (who was with his friends too) signaled for her to flush which she did. All the guys fired and MISSED!!! She turned around and looked at them, copped an attitude, walked back to the car, and refused to do any more. Like, "I did my part, you failed, so I'm all done with youse guys!!!":CWL::CWL::CWL::CWL::CWL:

Headed down south to Coyote Buttes and hiked into The Wave. The drive into the trailhead was an easy, fun BLM dirt road, though someone in a sedan of some kind couldn't quite read the terrain and left part of a bumper along the way...

@Labwine

your story of your Dad’s Britt responding to the miss reminded me of my first Britt, also a rescue dog. ( all my Britts are rescues). His name is Tanner, long gone, but lives in my memory. I always say he taught me to bird hunt. He did same when I failed to do my job:)

We are going hunting in eastern OR next weekend.
