My local dealership has a 2023 Gladiator Sport S Freedom Ed. It’s got the quick order freedom package, 8.4” radio group, cold weather group, LED head/fog lamps, technology group, alpine premium, trailer tow (not max tow), and the convenience group. It’s stickered at 59,740$ but with all the incentives like 15% off MSRP and Dealer Discount, the price is down to 48,000$.

It also has 37” Falkens wrapped on 20” Fuels (not sure what kind) and is getting the 2” MOPAR lift installed today, not sure what that will do to the price.

I would be trading my 20’ Sport S in on this. You guys think it’s a decent deal? How much lower should I try to get them to go before they add in the cost of the lift/tires and wheels?? My 20’ Sport S has most of those same packages, except the 8.4” radio and LED, and was cheaper than 48,000$ brand new.

Has it been regeared for those 37's?

Personally, I'm not a fan of 20" wheels if you plan on going off road. You have less sidewall than 17's which gives you less flex to wrap around rocks and such and with less sidewall flex, your on road ride can suffer.

I would also be interested in how much they add on to the price for the lift.

Only you can decide if it's worth trading in yours for this one.

Put those specs on Cars.com or similar and see what other places are selling at.

If you feel it's already overpriced, you probably won't be satisfied unless you get it for around what you paid for your first one.

If it doesn't have at least the 4.10s, the bigger tires are going to be a disappointment (based on discussions on here) in felt power and using all 8 gears in the trans.

In SLC, a local dealer has new "base" Rubicons at $43k. Cold weather and leather are the only options.

Here's a Mojave for $42.5k - https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/a60cda6f-6e21-40c4-9455-485afd7dc16e/

As far as I know, not re geared. That would be one of the first things I do, as my current JT has 35’s with 3.73’s and 8th gear never happens.

I’m not a huge fan of the 20” wheels either, but they can be changed easily and the 20’s can be sold

In that case an option you may consider to get a better price on the new JT would be to have the dealership swap your current truck's wheels over.

$43k for a Rubicon? What year? I paid that for a 2023 Willys.

By you saying this, you are paying for 3.73 gears, 37" tires, 20" wheels upfront. If you know you are going to re-gear and get different tires/wheels, you are already losing money before you even drive into the dealership lot.

You will never resell 3.73 gears. And you will be surprised how little interest there is in 20" tires/wheels on the used market.

I would look for another Jeep elsewhere.

I’m seeing Mojave’s and Rubi’s from $45-$50k around here. I don’t mind the factory 20’s as long as you have enough rubber around them.

If you want to go larger than 35 tires, I’d go rubi or Mojave for the gears. Mine is a beach queen so no rocks for me.

If you want to move forward with it, the cost of new gears, wheels and tires will certainly add up.

I like the 23’, rides smooth as hell with the MOPAR suspension and the bilsteins… but, I’m keeping mine and building it. I’ll still get out cheaper than upgrading
