Nice mounting option! Just a suggestion: monitor for heat the first few times you use it. Its probably fine, but watch it at first. Mine is in a pretty tight compartment made out of hard plastic (driver's side cubby in the bed of my Tacoma) and I've had no problems - but I always have the cubby door open when I run it. It gets pretty warm if I fill up 8 tires but the plastic cubby is all good.

I was doing the same and then someone mentioned that the fire extinguisher should be within driver reach. It makes sense so I made the change. Just thought I would pass along the good advice.

I have the small Jeep recovery kit that came in the North Package (recovery strap, shackles, gloves) on the driver side, a baseball hat, and a small portable rachet/socket/screw driver tool kit on the passenger side. the alpine sub takes up the middle.

Under the seat I have a bunch of tie down straps, and the freedom panel bag when not in use.

Yes. Don't often need it, but when you do, you need it quick.

Maybe paranoia, but if I am ever trapped in my own vehicle and it is on fire, I want to have at least a fighting chance.

So I keep mine on a bracket attached to front of passenger seat. And will keep it there, despite occasional gripes from passengers.

Brilliant. I’m a long way from onboard air, but now I know where to put it if I go that route. Out of the way yet easy to reach. Protected and tamper proof.
Let me know if you have any questions or when you are ready to put together your setup!

Yes, good you brought that up. I’m aware of the heat and honestly haven’t done a full test on it to determine if I can run it with seat up or not. Will find out on Saturday this week.
