I would try to do without the lift. Setting, geometry and other critical things get effected by rotating (even ever so slightly) the axle to accommodate the lift

I did a 2.5" Readylift 3 days after I bought. I e but put 35's on first. A year later I was on 37's and haven't looked back. Currently almost 4 years after buying it still running the same lift and 37 12.5 17 Geolander X-AT's. I see plenty of 8th and average 17 mpgs to 18.5 mpgs depending on how far I drive, 50/50 city and Hwy. 2020 Max Tow Sport

37x12.50x17 BFG KO2 on stock Wheels. 2023 Mojave. No lift.

I put one washer in the steering stop both sides
I trimmed a little from the inner fender liner
I flexed it as much as I possibly could off road and have zero rubbing or other issues.
I maintained a low center of gravity, which should be the ultimate goal for everyone that off roads. Only lift a vehicle as necessary to clear your tires.

That stance and the full flex with no rubbing has me leaning toward this route. Super clean look you have there with honestly a bit more clearance than I would have expected.

You won't lose the ability to cruise 80mph even with the 4.10s and 37s. 37s went on yesterday and even though I haven't recalibrated yet it cruises along at 85mph according to the GPS at 2100 rpms in 8th gear. I'd say tires 1st as it makes the biggest difference in looks and function but I did both at the same time. Very happy with the AEV 2" kit and 37s although the procal needing a wiring harness is lame.

2100 rpms in 8th is super encouraging with 37s. Coming from a '12 JKU the 8spd has been pretty great. Also looking at your truck with 37s and the AEV is getting me real close to just saying to hell with it, biting the bullet and doing it all at once. Do you have the geo relocation brackets with the AEV lift as well?

No, I may add them but it feels great without them.

You can always simply use the Mopar lower control arms to help castor! I run the with the 1 inch front spacer. I'm on 35's now, lots of room for 37's!!!

Trying to figure out what to do first between AEV 2” lift and tires (probably BFG KO2 37s). Currently have stock set up with ARE cap and a cargoglide.
Lift first? This is what I am researching. Them can choose, 33s, 35s or 37s and have plenty of room.

You’re forgetting about break over with the long jt. The higher the lift the more clearance. If it wasn’t for my Clayton 2.5 which is actually a 3.5 inch lift and 37s I wouldn’t be able to hit as many trails as I do without scraping frame.

I’m looking at the same lift for my JTR, do you have any pros and cons with the lift? I’ve done a ton of research and seems to be a very solid lift with very little drawbacks. What is your experience? Thanks!

I didn't forget, just didn't mention because I don't off road in areas where breakover angle is needed. I completely understand a lift will raise the body and frame, which also helps approach and departure angles. If my JT is hindered by breakover angle I probably shouldn't be on that type of trail with it. I have a JLU for that. But I do see your point. For some it may be needed.

Clayton is a good kit.

About to pull the trigger on some 37s based on your feedback. Are you running spacers with the stock mojave wheels? If not, any rubbing? Probably my last unknown. I'd like to run the stock mojave wheels to save some money here with the lift impending.

I have the Clayton Overland+ 2.5" lift this picture I wasn't totally flexed (wasn't on the bump stops) and the 37's were quite stuffed with swaybar disconnected. Still had an inch or two between the tire and fender liner.

OP from other post regarding 37’s on Mojave wheels I believe you’re good to go. The Mojave wheels have different backspacing, this is where the slightly wider factory track width comes from.
