Rough Country are rusting after 7 months and we don't get much rust here in Colorado :(
We are all about the rust here in Nova Scotia. That sucks. I wonder if there is a coating that might help prevent that. Rust check or something.

I would suggest epoxy primer. That stuff is almost indestructible. I like the SPI epoxy. If you don't have spray equipment, you can buy a special, two-part spray can of epoxy primer from Eastwood. One can should be enough for rock rails. Then top coat with a good quality spray paint. No rust!

Topic says it all. What’s next? A mod? A trip? Rooftop tent? Giving the keys to a family member? Going to the shop? Thought it’d be cool to hear the aspirations and plans from fellow jeepers.
The 45 day temporary tags expire so I have to buy plates and pay the sales tax on it since it was purchased out of state:(

When I bought mine, the joke of a dealership and the idiot salesman, forgot to give me a temporary tag... Then I called to get them to overnight one... They never did. Then I called again, they said they were going to send it out THAT day... NEVER arrived. Called them AGAIN, and FINALLY got a lady in the billing department to overnight me one. This was all during the quarantine lockdown shit, so my county courthouse was closed for months, and I couldn't get my tag transferred anyway. Finally, they opened back up, and I got it transferred over.

Then realized my dealership stole the toolkit out of my Jeep when it was new, before I bought it, and tried to call them to get them to send me one, but nobody answered or called me back, so I ended up having to buy one on eBay for $30 damn dollars... I have half a mind to call FCA to report them for their complete uselessness and lack of customer service.

Tomorrow I might adjust the castor a few degrees to try to get rid of the front drive line vibration.

Fortunately they put the temp tag on before they shipped it. We are still under lock down so getting the transfer done may be a challenge.
I have some war stories from trying to purchase mine. Three dealers sold out from under me after we had agreed to a price and before they got the paper work for me to sign. It seems when you are buying remotely, if someone walks in and wants the truck they will sell it even if we had an agreed to price, and I am waiting for the sales agreement from them.

I had that happen in 2007 when I was shopping for my Cummins. Luckily someone bought it out from under me, because it only had the 3.73 gears. So I ended up ordering the one I wanted with the 4.10 gears, and still getting a badass negotiated price. So I in the end, I ended up happier that they sold it out from under me, but i was beyond pissed off at the time they did that, because, to me, it showed a lack of respect and seriousness, because at the time I was only 21. Not a lot of 21 year old guys walking into dealerships to buy $50K diesel trucks back then... I had a good job, made good money, and busted my ass to pay for that truck each month. But, because I was a "kid", they didn't take me seriously, until they pulled my credit score, and saw how serious I was.

Long story short, it could be a blessing in disguise. :like:

I ended up with a worse deal but I paid much less for shipping so I guess it worked out about the same.. The bottom line is the GF got the Punk'n she wanted and is happy. so I guess it's all good. Does stop me from being pissed though. Now I have to get my head straight with an orange Rubicon. lol

If your GF is happy, then it sounds like you won't have to work to hard to get your head straight...:like::CWL:
