Hey yall!

Got another question, I picked up an almost complete Rubi suspension with less than 100 miles on it. It came with the shocks and springs, the plastic things for two of the springs, the sway bar links front and rear, and two (I believe) upper control arms (not sure whether their front or rear). Should I put all the parts on or just the shocks and springs? Will the shocks and springs be fine without Rubi bumpstops?

I wouldn't do the control arms unless you know where they go. Tre rest should be fine and the bump stops shouldn't matter unless you flex your rig out.

Shocks and springs are the only parts different than what you already have.

Does your current JT have high mileage? Replacing high mileage parts with OEM new parts can have a benefit.

You probably got the front lower control arms if they have the threaded stud on the side for the brake line bracket attachment. That is what is usually taken off but it is the same as your factory one already and not worth putting on. same with the end links.

The shocks and springs are about the only thing different and they will be fine without the Rubicon bump stops. Expect about a 0.75" to 1" lift on your Sport.

I would say if you are ever entertaining going higher, just put off putting the Rubicon stuff on and wait. Will be double work.

My advice is save yourself the labor and don't install any of it. I went thru the effort of swapping over to Rubi suspension only to later upgrade to a Clayton lift kit. The Rubi shocks (fox at the time) were horrible and the springs only gave me about 1/2" height difference. I kept my rear springs as I have a max tow. It's still several hours labor to do something that you will likely do again sometime soon and the benefits aren't really there.

As state only the shocks and springs are different.

A friend stuck my Rubicon wheels, tires, springs and shocks on his Sport 3 years ago and is still pretty happy with it. Picked up an inch.
