What type of oil does everyone use?

Oil debates seem to cause Chaos on automotive forums. Car and truck guys seem to be loyal to a certain brand

The brands I use to use were Mobile 1 ,Amsoil and Rotella. I switched to Royal Purple after I started doing friction and heat test with different oils with different viscosities.
