Macallan 12. My “every day” whisky
Sponsored
Laguvalin is the most amazing whiskey I have ever had in my entire life. I am never without a bottle of the regular 16 year, I pretty much always have three or four bottles of their special edition stuff as well.Same, not a fan of the smokey flavor. I picked up a Lagavulin 18 and it tastes like volcanic ash.
When I purchased I was confident I would enjoy but man that burn type flavor. I'll give it another shot soon. Did you build up a taste for it or like it right off the bat?Laguvalin is the most amazing whiskey I have ever had in my entire life. Personally I loved it from the first sip. Alot of my friends don’t care for it. I have also noticed that Laguvalin is one the on,y smoky whiskys I enjoy. The closest I've gotten to sweets with Scotch is some Ghardellis chocolate squares. It does take a couple of sips to get dialed in and settled down.
Further recommendations.
If you're a milk drinker nothing tastes better after a finger or two of Scotch. Any Scotch.
I know that probably sounds all wrong but it's addictive, or at least it was for me.
Along the same lines, and I just discovered this a couple of years ago after-partying with a touring folk band who played a concert for us at the house and hung out for a few days, but Sweet Jesus! Some warmed apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and Scotch, ... Everything compliments everything else perfectly. So good!
Have you done their sherry cask? I've been through a bottle of both and think it's a notch above.Macallan 12. My “every day” whisky
I think I've had that. I'm always trying different ones. The closest I've gotten to sweets with Scotch is some Ghardellis chocolate squares.
