Where in your interior did you mount your brake controller? I'm trying to install a Tekonsha Primus brake Controller and there's not a lot of good spots.

In the JK I mounted it at the bottom of the dash, below and to the right of the steering column, so that when my hand rested on my right knee, my fingers were positioned on the input switch.

This way if you need to apply manual brake input, you can do it immediately and without even taking your eyes off the road. Put your hand on the knee and there's the controller.

I put mine in the 12V outlet hole, but I also have the Redarc, so it's a much smaller part to mount

I mounted mine on the knee bolster where it is between my legs so a knee won't hit it in the event of a collision.

I wouldn't count on it ever coming out. Been pushed back way to many times.

I have my Redarc mounted over to the side close to where the youtube video from WXMan had his at.

I have the Primus controller, too, and this is the location I mounted it. Easy to reach, my knee doesn't hit it, and I can easily see the display through the steering wheel.

Here is where I mounted my Redarc. It should be mostly safe in the event of a random rainstorm.

Here’s mine... RedArc Tow Pro controller behind the steering control panel with the knob below the climate control vent. I used 3M auto adhesive to give the knob plate a little more toughness (it seemed to be prone to “pushing out” in the long term). The panel mounted flush after installing the knob but once I installed the controller I could tell that the panel was obstructed. All the clips are fine, but the panel bulges a little which shows. I’ll prob go back at some point and just remount the controller. Seems like I could also fasten a zip tie to the back of the panel fin and “ratchet” it tighter against the frame. The location works for me...doesn’t even come close to my knees or legs. I’m happy with it.
