Where to buy a built Gladiator

IMO, your best option is to find a top notch jeep shop near you, have them start looking for a donor vehicle, and build it up to your / their specs. Finding one "built" locks you into someone else's idea of what is "good or right" and inevitably leads to redoing thing to your needs. Buy a bone stock vehicle and build it out to your specs.

But it is cheaper to buy one already built.

You could buy a built one and redo what you don't like and possibly still come out ahead.

I never understood buying a built Jeep. It's never built the way I would do it. If you're talking dealer build is always overpriced. Maybe you NEED to roll all the financing into 1 payment? I'd rather pick the lift, shocks, tires, etc. Once I drove the JT after putting the triangulated 4 link on the rear, I'd never own one without it for instance.

I was planning on buying a new one and building it but I happened to find one that was already built the exact way I wanted at a fraction of the price. It does happen. In this case the OP didn't really specify what exactly he wanted in a built jeep as that means something completely different to everyone.

You might get lucky and find 1 just the way you want it but for me that's super rare. Generally they either aren't built with the quality parts I'd want because I wheel it hard or they are, by someone like me who's wheeled it hard. I wouldn't want a used car that has been treated the way I treat mine either. The cosmetic mods aren't worth a dime to me either.

For a built rig you are much better getting it from someone that knows Jeep and has installed just the best parts, like I have done. A dealer just does bang for the buck.

I found one built almost exactly how I would have built it. and as a bonus it only had 5k miles on it. Just wish it had a little more positive offset on the wheels to suck them in just a little more. Just need to get lucky sometimes.

Now to start save for the V8 kit.

Trust me, not every Jeep buyer/owner is mechanical or wants to mess with it. They want to buy it and use it and enjoy it and not spend the time and frustration of a build. Regardless of what we think here, there's a whole world out there who want to buy one ready to go - drive it and enjoy it and even take it off-road, but don't want to bother with the rest.
My brother is among them - he's got the money, loves Jeeps, but will take it to a shop for ANY work at all, ANY. His business leave his very little time to mess with it as far as a build, and bothering to learn what to pick out for specific parts? Naw, no time for that, either.

Humans seem to believe everyone has the same time, money, experiences, or desire to be hands-on with a build. Some want to buy it and take it out in the sticks.

That doesn't work the same for everyone.

I'm in the Jeep mind frame again and am looking to find an already built Jeep Gladiator or JL. What are the best websites to check? I'm in Austin, TX but am open to further options. I've checked Forbid exchange and they have a few options. Just trying to see what else is out there. Thanks for any suggestions.

I recommend buying your gladiator of choice and send it to Matt at 3D Offroad in Colorado Springs. Look them up. Top notch builds!

I bought built and stock, both has its pros and cons.

Built Pros: No need to do the work
Built Cons: Work could be crap with crap brands

Stock Pros: You can have fun building it yourself with brands you like
Stock Cons: You have to build it yourself

I think you guys have answered the question thoroughly. Ultimately we don't know what type of build the OP wants. Based on the "I'm in the Jeep mind frame" comment and the fact that he currently drives a BMW X5, my guess is that he's probably not going to do hard-core wheeling and just wants to drive a cool Jeep.
