I went with the Bak Revolver X4. I wanted a hardtop to secure items while on trips or running simple shopping errands when all the doors/roof is open. So far I’ve been very happy with the cover, I wanted a rolling cover to not block my view when it was open.

The install instructions sucked, but it fits well after spending a little time.

When you roll it closed it can be easy for the cover to end up slightly off centered at the tailgate and a slight tug left or right drops it into place for me and closes easily. If it’s out of alignment it either won’t close or requires too much force, it should be easy.

I haven’t been through a storm yet, but I’d guess some water will still get in, but infinitely better than when I didn’t have a cover and had luggage back there. I’ll still travel with some water resistant bags to add some more protection.

I second the Bakflip Revolver X4....pricy but nice and the best part is it includes the side tracks for cross-rails.....add on rhino rack bars or yakima and you are all set.

I like that idea! How does the cover operate with the racks on? Do you just remove the bar and keep the mounts in the track?

Have the same question. Want to have a cover (preferably that adds some level of security), but also racks or crossbars that can handle a tent setup. Rolling up underneath without changing out would be nice. Not sure if I could use a cover with the yakima posts - outpost hd system

Unfortunately you cannot roll up the cover with the cross bars on but they are quick release only leaving on the small foot brackets (which also install/remove quickly if you want it all removed).

I like the low profile cross rails but higher would have been nice for rolling the cover.

I did see post about the Yakima Outpost working but I'm not sure how (it doesn't look like it would).

one thing I could not find anywhere is if you need any adapters to mount the feet to the tracks, the answer is "No" (the rhino rack standard pieces fit perfectly in the tracks), also the rhino kit did come with the yakima and Thule hardware to mount to those tracks but I didn't need any of it.

Hello all;
Just my nickel's worth (pennies are useless anymore)...
I bought the Mopar soft vinyl three panel bedcover. I wanted to protect my cargo during my epic roadtrip to Oregon and back. I was there for a month.

Let me say this: I'm not a paid sponsor, YouTuber, influencer, etc. Just a guy that has fallen in love with his Jeep, almost as much as my 68 Pontiac Firebird, but that's another topic/thread/forum :)

I got the thing over lunchtime. I did run into a problem with removing the sprayed-on LineX. I grabbed my grinder with flapper disc, and that was short work. It took me about an hour total to get installed. I was stressing, because I had work to finish, and wanted to get on the road by 3:00 pm. I still had to finish packing :)

I got it installed, and away I went. I ended up in a blizzard that night in Nebraska City, NE. I drove in 35mph headwinds with 60-65 mph gusts (enough that an empty cattle truck flipped over in front of me). I saw the read end of the cover bounce up a couple times. However, through snow...rain...wind...the truck bed stayed completely dry.

It was out in the elements for over a month. It went through additional rain, snow...and never leaked.

Depending what you are looking for, I would HIGHLY recommend this truckbed cover.

We just installed the tyger soft roll bed cover. I like how it rolls all the way back. It was a very easy install. My hope is to get a diamondback next year. Or something else that will allow me to strap stuff on top of the cover. Here is a video of my kids doing the install. It really was that easy a 10 and 6 year old can do it!
I see you have had this cover since July. How is it holding up? I love that your daughters did it for you! Great video.

I have the under cover flex and really like it.
move been using it a lot more than I thought and it really makes the bed like a trunk when closed but I really like the prop rods to hold it up if i need the whole bed.

looks a lot like the armis above and very similar to the mopar... wondering if they are made by under cover? (Or visa-versa)

For what it’s worth I’d suggest the undercover flex...

I am an extang solid fold 2.0 fan. Had it on my f150 and now I put one on my new JT. Everybody has their preferences and there are pros and cons to all. What I like about extang is I can flip it forward in seconds and secure it that way. If I need to fill the bed I can remove it very quickly and throw it in the yard. Then reinstall quickly. You can't do that with other types. Also some people don't like the looks of a cover that rises above the bed height. Personally I do. To me the bed looks naked and skimpy without a cover. The recessed style does not alter the lines much. The extang type fills out the bed to my eye and gives the rig a beefier look.

REPLY/QUESTION: what do you think it would take to break into the X4? I’m considering the X4s but think the end bar/closure will be the same as X4.

I bought the Rugged Ridge 13550.23 Armis Hard Rolling Bed Cover from Quadratec as one of my first additions. It was on sale at that time for $908 and a mail-in rebate of an additional $100 if you submitted paperwork and original packing UPC code. I like this one because you can roll it up, and with it being a hard cover it provides additional security and it looks great with it being low profile. The other thing I like about it is you can quickly remove the cover so if you need to use the bed of the truck you can quickly disconnect the front clips once its rolled up and store it away and use the entire bed of the truck.

The only complaint I have on this is the foam seal the comes with the rails. It was all tore up by the time it arrived at my house. I ended up going to Lowes to get an automotive rubber seal which was perfect and actually seals any gaps. This is what’s keeping my bed dry even with the Florida down pours we get. Hopefully this helps you out.
