The last six vehicles my wife and I have owned have all been the pentastar not counting my Shelby GT/SC. 12JKU, 15 200C AWD, 15 Charger Ralleye AWD, 2019 Challenger GT AWD, 20 and 22 JT, all have been great have had zero engine issues with any of them. My 200C would give a 5.7 Challenger all it wanted and have proven it and the best highway mileage I ever got with it was 43 mpg following all the speed limits on just over a 100 mile trip typical was 35-37 so yes aero and weight have a lot to do with the JT mileage

I sold this yesterday and it was crazy powerful, working on getting a Mojave with the faithful 3.6

My brother sold a ZL1 1LE that he loved for his Gladiator. He says the Gladiator is his favorite of everything he's owned.

Yours has to be one of the most beautiful Camaros I've seen, though!

We have had 5 pentastars in the family, 2 with well over 100,000 miles , not 1 problem with any.

Happy so far...No idea what people complain about as far as power. It has much more than I expected after driving 8's all my life. It is not a race car, and anyone expecting it to be bought the wrong vehicle. It is an extremely versatile truck with as much power that anyone would need for normal street driving and off-road adventures. (No comment on towing as it is not something I do but I got the tow package just in case. And it does seems to meet the needs of most in this area for people with reasonable expectations as far as I can tell from fellow members here).

Considering I traded in a Challenger Scat Pack for it, it took a bit of getting use to. But I installed the Pedal Commander and it has much better throttle response now. So far I am happy with the pentastar, I have owned many Jeeps and several other Mopars but this is the first Pentastar for me.

Mine basically matches my LS equipped 2011 Silverado I had. To be fair, I had a trailer that was 500 pounds heavier when I had the Chevy.
I told my wife of the reduced towing capacity of the Gladiator Overland and she said - so go buy a lighter trailer. She's a smart woman. Best trailer I've ever had for hauling cars.
Trailer with car roughly 5,000 pounds. Does as well towing as my Chevy did with 5500 pounds total, and I get better mpg. JT got 13.9 average last trip with towing, Chevy used to get in the 11s, 12s on flat ground.
It's not a tow vehicle, if you tow real often or tow much more weight, get a bigger truck, but I'm happy with it.

Need is the key word.

Is it enough for what I need? Yes.

Do I wish it weren't so sluggish off the line, and roared like a 392? Also yes.

If I feel the need for noise and power, I could finish putting the interior back in this one.....

"Wish" sure all other things equal, same gas mileage, same cost NOOB, and all the other goodness WTH not. But that isn't reality.

But I honestly haven't experienced any sluggishness of any kind. (Caveat, in fairness, I don't tow, and I don't drag race off the line (not with this vehicle anyway), maybe I'd have a different opinion if I did)...

It will scoot and get you merged into traffic when necessary. It's done a nice job when clowns try to close gaps so others can't merge in. It's also surprised more than one person when they pulled along side me at a light when their lane ended on the other side of the intersection and they ended up having to slow and fall in behind me. It's no race truck but it's not a 1.3 liter pinto, either.

I looked at the wrangler with the bad-ass engine briefly before I ordered my Mojave, as soon as I notice the price it was a no-brainer for me. I am comfortably retired so I could afford it, but I have no use for the extra ponies for this kind of vehicle. I enjoy spending what I have but I require I make use of it, otherwise it is just "waste" (And I wanted a pick-up too of course).

This is just my opinion of course and based on my use profile for me.

I would enjoy doing some desert racing with the bigger engine. There is one vid floating out there where some young women with help from her dad raced in the stock class with her Gladiator. She had to beef up the roll cadge and what not. I don't know if she did anything to the engine if it is stock class, but she won the divison in one of the popular races out west.

I wonder what these stock dessert races do to the transfer case given that manual says no going over 55 in 4wd-High...I'm sure in this kind of racing they go much faster. Do you know?

Hmmm, good questions. Not sure why the 55 limit in "the book" or what the issue would be.
The AMC Eagle of course had a transfer case, New Process make. The first year was full-time 4x4 mode, then they went to Select Drive with switchable 2 or 4 wheel drive modes, then back to full time again (because they found the 2 wheel drive mode saves under 1 mpg!)
And - I know very well you can peg an Eagle speedometer with no damage.
The chain in the t-case? Hard to imagine that, it's beefy.

I don't know how fast they run in those courses, but you can see this one is clipping right along and the front wheels are doing some of the work -
