I’ll start! These are made all in the USA located in Belgrade Montana so I had to drive 1900 miles from New Jersey where after I shot down to Moab to really put the thing to the test! In love with the thing

was totally worth saving my pennies to eventually get it, wheels amazing and camp arrival/departure are way better then when I had a traditional rtt

(Also, they made a change to the tent locking mechanism. It no longer locks with a key. If you want to secure it, you have to get like a padlock or something.)

Do you have a small lift on? It looks like it sits a little higher in that last photo. Could just be the angle but it looks awesome.

Also, How was the ride difference after picking it up? I've heard the stock shocks are pretty soft, I'm curious how they felt after your install at GFC.

Last question, lol, looks like we have a very similar build, what was your final curb weight from the factory and left over payload? I

This is the factory Rubicon suspension, but mine is an Ecodiesel, which has a beefier suspension than the gasoline version.

After I picked it up, I didn’t feel any ride difference at all. And no noise difference. It feels exactly the same. You can’t even tell the camper is back there. One interesting thing I noticed, which I wasn’t expecting is that my MPG went up with the camper. On the way to Montana I was averaging 22mpg. And on the way back, I averaged 25mpg. Anything is more aerodynamic than a pickup bed.


I’m not sure about my curb weight or payload. I need to look into that. I just installed a 40 gallon transfer flow fuel tank. Still can’t tell the difference. Ride feels exactly the same.

GFC V2 for about a year now, very happy. I was hesitant because I didn't know if I would use it enough to justify the cost. I've used the crap out of it, no regrets. Just finished a 4 week trip several weeks ago and am going on another trip in May. Might get expensive with the current gas prices, oh well, not going to stop me regardless.

Got the wife convinced to save up for one of these after doing a ton of research on rtt tent and shell combos. Hoping to have it by the end of 2023.
