I realize many, if not most, of the people here will upgrade their wheels. I'm sure FCA realizes that too. But why are the Sport wheels the most boring ugly wheels known to civilized man, and the Overland wheels the the most Honda Accord looking truck wheel/tire combo I've ever seen? Rubicon's are ok, actually stylish and easy to work around for just doing a tire swap. But the god awful Sport and Overland choices make it so hard to look at a stock JT. Am I alone?

Saw my first JT Sport commuting to work this AM and, you are right, the wheels are terrible! I'd swap those before I drove off the lot. It's got to be about price point(s), perhaps? (total speculation) I haven't seen the Overland in person so I will reserve my thoughts at this time. The configurator online is good for general idea, but in person speaks volumes. True of the different color options as well.

My problem with the Overland isn't the wheels, its the tires. They are so skinny, they just look out of place on the truck. The wheels aren't bad, its just such a road focused tire, that I don't like it on a truck. I recognize the Overland is more for road driving, but its still a 4WD truck, and as such, I believe should have a better tire for that trim level.

I absolutely agree with this! I'll probably leave mine on since it will be more of in town driving, and then upgrade to a more aggressive tire once the stock ones wear out. Of course that will be years and years down the road...they'll probably rot before I get that many miles haha!

I have a Sport S so I have the silver rims, the base is black. I think they are going for the penta star look. My problem is there are so many rims and I can't decide if I want to go black since the rest of the truck is basically red and black. I do have white graphics but I can't decide if I like the stock silver with the white since it is a gray. If I had one of the silvers, the stock aluminum would look ok, maybe.

I think the Overland and Rubicon wheels look fine, tires are tailored to the intended use.

Sport/Sport S wheels are like the temporary pedals that come on a bicycle, it's a way to get the thing delivered, but they have been using the same basic wheels on base model Wranglers for years as well.

I have the Sport S and refused to even tell anyone I bought a Gladiator until I replaced the rims/tires. Before with the stock eyesores and after with much better LE take-offs.

Same for me! I signed the papers on mine, got in it and drove it 4 miles to the shop and left it. My wife didn't even see it until we picked it up a few days later and this is the very first pic I took of it:
