By that logic jeeps with slush boxes should only have manual windows and locks. And how do you feel about hvac? Old school cable operated valves or even more old school, the heat is always on and you have manual blend air flaps?

Wheres the new JL/JT Ludite package with no carpet, no top, no doors and no radio. Only comes in black with black steel wheels.
I kind of wish they offered an option without carpet and some other kind of insulating layer. Had the doors off today, had grey sky at times and was thinking that by June I probably will not have carpet in the JT, rain is inevitable at some point.

Must be nice to have doors off already. We’re getting close here in Ohio.

Well close to a few random days, followed by snow, followed by a random day, followed by hail. Rinse and repeat until the middle of May. I grew up in Ohio and do not miss the random weather, lol.

That doesn't look too terribly bad. I may give it a go when it warms up a bit.
Yea....My eyes glazed over when I saw this.

I’ll just wait for the 2023 model to have them.
With all the back and forth and bickering in this thread everyone could have done this by now! LOL! Actually not as bad as it looks, mind you I created harnesses so that I did not need to cut the oem harness... Still works great! GL!!!

I think the way auto up works is through monitoring the current draw of the motor when going up.
If the window is stopped by an obstruction the current draw increases tremendously and the circuit reverses the motor. It is not mechanical at all. When the window is full up, the circuit is not looked at so as to avoid auto reversing as if it were an obstruction.
Something that I think goes along with the auto up is the fact that they don’t mount the window switches ON THE DOORS! You have to unplug the harness to remove them anyways so what’s a few more wire if any. Use the space in the dash for other goodies. All the passengers instinctlively look around on the door for the switches only to find THEY’RE NOT THERE!
”It’s A Jeep Thing” LOL
