Looking to buy a 2023 Jeep Gladiator, & I’m trying to decide between the Willys or Mojave.
80% of my driving will be in town & highway. The rest will be some well kept mountain trails for hunting & fishing, & then some beach driving in the sand at the Outer Banks.
I’m open to everyone’s opinions & experiences. Thanks.

The Willy’s will do what you want, only real drawback that is easily fixed is the tires on the Willys, aggressive tires like to dig down to traction , that doesn’t work so well on sand. It also comes down to options how loaded do you want it…..Jack

Based on your intended use, I would suggest the Mojave. If you're planning to add a lift, or make suspension modifications, then the Willys may be a better choice.

Why are limited to the two? Any Gladiator trim can go where you are looking to go. Take a test drive in an Overland and a Sport too.

I agree. It is worth investigating all the different models to find out which one is best for you. I leaned towards a Willys initially, but I found that an Overland fit my needs better. You may prefer the Mojave for your use, many people prefer how it drives and rides over other Gladiator models.

‘23 Willys owner here, that’s my (totally biased) opinion. You can get one with all the modern creature comforts, comes with the trak-lock and mud tires, has all the necessary skids, sliders, plus (for me) I like the black grill and the “4wd” decal

I didn’t want a bunch of things I wasn’t going to use (lockers, fancy shocks, rock crawling transfer case) and the Willys had the right mix of all the off-road stuff I wanted plus the other stuff (power windows, etc).

I had a 21 Mojave and now a 21 Willy's...If you want a more agressive looking truck without adding anything, go for the Mojave. If you want stock or plan on adding your own lift/shocks, go Willy's.
The only other major factor would be seats...I really like the Mojave seats much better (better bolstering).

Yup, I was very similar.
I was leaning to the Willys when I was first looking into these, but found the 80th was a better fit for me.
I was NOT a fan of those mud tires after getting the opportunity to test drive one, and I did not want to have to replace tires.

I will say I would have preferred a Mojave, but it was too expensive for me.

Love my Willy, I might be biased here but you get a better bang for the buck in my opinion, Mojave does look cool though. The only thing I would change is mud tires, they do suck for daily driving especially on the highway, pretty sure you can opt for A/T when ordering.

Any of the Gladiators will do what you mention. But Mojave looks the most badass out of all of the Gladiators.

The Mojave suspension, seats and steering wheel are outstanding. I had mine for a year. the Gas V6 just wasn't doing it for me, so I bought a diesel Sport S with the black grill. added mopar rock sliders (forum member take off's) and JLU rubicon take off wheels and tires (forum member also). I believe the only difference now between my sport s and a Willy's is I don't have the LSD and a few decals.

If the diesel is not for you, or they don't lift the stop sale, then Mojave all the way and don't look back.

Either way these trucks are awesome and the trim options just come down to what you need and what, if anything, you're willing to change.

I have a Willys. It was a great balance between cost and accessories I think, and it was also what they had in stock with a discount off MSRP during the covid vehicle shortage lol. If I were to buy a new one and had unlimited budget to just get whatever I wanted I would get the Mojave. I think it's the best of the trims unless you are specifically wanting a truck for rock crawling.

If you like Mojave and money is your only concern, stay away from Willys, because every Mojave you see in the road will make you want to upgrade and you won’t enjoy your Willys at all. Focus on what you want and find a better financial plan and then enjoy your Mojave forever. Mojave has some features that you cannot get on other gladiators like stronger chassis. I love my 2021 Mojave in both on road and off roads.
