Willys S bare bones

Recently purchased a Willys S 6 speed, no power windows, locks etc. The only thing I really miss is auto door locks. Love the 6 speed. As for the radio it does have bluetooth. No high beam dimmer on floor though...lol. Still on the column. Have half doors from 392 matching colors. How many other ppl have bought the Willys S package? Any regrets? I have put in different wheels and tires as well as other modifications, lights etc. Just love the simplicity of it.

I looked at a base sport when I bought my Gladiator. I would have bought it except the dealer added $15K of aftermarket stuff. They marked the base up with a Rubicon price.

I agree, it was Gobi with the tan interior. I really wanted the truck but then, they advertised it on the web site at sticker then added $15K of dealer upgrades.

I've got a '21, so had it about 1.5 years. Love it! Just wanted a simple platform to start from, and the price was right.

same! 2023 Jeep Gladiator Sport Willys Edition in Pitch Black and love it...don't mind the manual windows...Car Toys in Houston charges 550 to install an fob/power lock on the driver door then an extra 225 for each door after that...however to do this, they warn you wont be able to take your doors off due to them running a cable from the vehicle to the door...so you have to decide if that is worth it...
but yep...love my purchase (upgraded from a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport that i bought new)

2022 Gobi Willys Sport here! My DD for the past 6-7 years has been a 2 door JK Willys (profile pic) which also has manual tranny, windows, & locks. I love the simplicity of it all and think it will last longer since I like to keep vehicles for the long haul. It also helps keep chivalry alive since I always walk the GF to the passenger door to unlock and open it for her.

My ONLY complaint is why the hell didn't they design the door locks to unlock when you pull the handle from inside???? It would be much quicker to unlock the back doors by reaching back and pulling the handle instead of feeling around for the lock mechanism and then trying to remember if I need to push or pull it to unlock.

I agree regarding unlocking the back doors ....that would make more sense!

Manual windows and locks were part of the reason I got my Willys Sport. I think it's awesome you can still get them, for now at least.

I considered buying one stripped to the bare bones.

Butttttt I ordered one with power windows, locks, and proximity entry - and realized for me that's the far superior choice. Just touch the front door handle and the back doors unlock!

Anyway - glad you're happy with yours, there is a certain charm in basic vehicles.

I like my bare bones Willys. And I really like a payent under $270 per month. I have a TJ with a Dana 60, so the JT is to be left alone....

I have a '21 Willys Sport with 30K miles and it's been a great vehicle. It was on the lot with power windows, locks, and some other upgrades and it was at a price that I could afford. Looked at some of the higher price ones and just couldn't justify spending that much. I've made some changes like wheels, side steps, LED headlights, tonneau cover, upgraded my speakers and added an amp. Things I probably would have done with any version I purchased.
