Nice install! Drilling into the dash always makes me nervous. It’s great to hear the Bulletpoint mount works well for moving that big mirror out of the line of sight.

For sure nervous on the drilling. I pulled the head unit out to make sure I wasn't drilling into anything important. Also made routing the wires up from behind the glove box a simple task. Didn't have to use a guide wire or anything.

There's a surprising amount of room behind the dash for stuff.

Still thinking through this. But I have a newer model JT and my UConnect system lets me pull up the rear view camera at anytime I like. Even while driving along.

It takes up some of the UConnect screen but is handy for checking things out behind me and provides a better view that the OEM rear view mirror anyway. So I guess I wouldn’t necessarily be losing that much if I did put a cap on and can’t see anything out of the OEM rear view mirror anymore.

More thoughts and information.

Smart move pulling the head unit out before drilling. Good to know the wire routing is that straightforward, that’s one less headache.

Thank you for choosing Wolfbox and sharing your install experience with us! This is a nice write-up. Actually, we have the dash mount. And we're improving it.

Looks nice! Reminds me of the Nascar Cup cars now - they all have the same style of rear view camera mounted on the dash 😄
