I believe these maintain pressure against the housing to prevent vibrations. There are two on the OEM mirrors but only one spot for them on the Wolfbox mirrors. I swapped em over at first, but then when the mirrors wouldnt adjust out as far I removed them thinking maybe they were the culprit, but they weren't. I never did reinstall them on the Wolfbox mirrors after that, as the instructions do not mention anything about them. One last observation, my stock OEM mirrors had a metal clip at the bottom of them. (See picture below.) Not sure what it is for exactly, perhaps extra stabilization? But the WOLFBOX mirrors did not have it.
@WOLFBOX do you know what the metal clip on the OEM mirrors is for and how come your replacements don’t include it? Thanks.
