Wow!! Anyone need 5W-30? **EXPIRED**

The price kept changing for me. Last night it was $37.99, this morning $24.97 and while I was standing at the counter at Advanced Auto (while he was cancelling my order) it was $19.99.

While I was standing there I placed 3 separate orders of 2, it said it would be coming from Terry Auto or something like that. They will probably just cancel the order when they actually go to ship it ...

If it was coming from a Walmart fulfillment center I think it would be easier for Walmart Customer Service to do something...

I think if they only ship 1 and we call Walmart customer service they will have to do something. Unlike the counter guy who just cancelled the orders.... Maybe they will ship it from a warehouse when it is back in stock. Who knows

So I decided to keep the one jug and go to Walmart and speak to a manager.

FYI, it’s a blip in the system. If you order and choose an in store pickup you’ll be given 6 quart bottles. Not 6 5-qt jugs.

Doubt it. Why would they give you 6 one quart bottles when the listing says 5 quart bottle pack size 6?

Speaking from experience. Don’t know what else to say. Pointed out that the listing said jugs, customer service said the listing was wrong.

I checked Walmart's website, there is a listing for one 5 quart jug, different than this listing.

Follow-up to the follow up- when you get your 6 1-qt bottles, Walmart will let you return them.

I am curious to hear what they say..

Ok... heres what happened in my case:

First, let me make a little clarification, if you get to the website and see the deal, it's not actually Walmart, but a marketplace dealer that is selling the oil and in my case, it was advanced auto.

I wish I'd known this going in. It might have helped me pressure Advanced Auto a little more , but they are not dumb and they know what a 5qt jug of oil cost. The few that got them to honor the deal were very lucky.

Not knowing that it was a marketplace order was my fault, But knowing that would have helped me explain it to Walmart (local store) a little better because we couldn't figure out why a walmart.com order was getting picked up at advanced auto.

So once at Walmart, they told me they could not help me because it was a marketplace order, they had me call their 1 800 Walmart customer service number.

The customer service agent clearly saw that the advertisement was for 1 case of 6-5qt jugs. I explained to her that Advanced Auto(local store) would not give me 6 jugs, they only gave me one. So I was 5 jugs short.

She said that she would send an email to the seller on my behalf and that I should give them 48 hours for a response, if they didn't respond within that time to call them back.

I had to run a few more errands, But by the time I got home I had already received an email from Advanced Auto.

Basically saying that they looked up the listing and saw that it was an error and they have since taken it down. They further said they would refund me for
the other (10 jugs, not sure were that # came from) but it should have said 5 jugs.

I wasn't given A dollar amount but i'm assuming that it will be exactly what I paid and no more. They stated it would be refunded to my original purchase method.

So for now, for all of my troubles, it looks like I might end up with a 5qt jug for free.

Honestly, we all knew this was a glitch, so whatever we get out of it is a bonus and I would be happy with a free 5 qt jug of mobile one any day.
