My wife has a Wrangler, and asked me whether she should wave at Gladiators. I had to admit that I didn't know. She says you can't really tell, from the front, so she waves.

I've been receiving the same amount of waves in the JT as I did in my 2 door JK. People may actually be confusing them from the front. Both firecracker red, lifted with aftermarket bumper.
I do notice two factors in the wave frequency. Other modded Jeeps wave more, and young ladies wave less regardless of the Jeep model.

I've noticed this as well... It's like the news, movies, and TV shows have made them so paranoid to the point that they're no longer friendly AT ALL to anyone, unless they know you. Even walking into a store and holding the door open for a woman they look at you weird as if you're doing something wrong by being polite. That's how you know the world has become such a f***ed up place, that it's almost not worth living in anymore.

Funny how much difference a few miles makes. I’m in Winter Haven and it’s closer to 2/10 who don’t wave. Excluding the soccer moms, they don’t wave. The ones that seam to want to race here are all the Ford pick-ups. I don’t give them the satisfaction.
Keep in mind, I just took delivery four weeks ago, but that was my initial opinion and could be subject to change as time goes on. With all the negativity in the world, it's nice to see a brotherhood still exists where people are friendly.

No kidding I am older guy born and raised in deep south Louisiana. So was taught to hold the door open for other, etc. If I hold the door open for an older woman all is good but if I do it for younger women will get knife in the chest looks and some have even refused to walk in telling me they can open their own door so I just walk in and close the door on them.

My JT is still getting a lot of waves here in Colorado. Last Sunday I was at a stoplight and the guy next to me said, "Hey, is that really a Jeep?". After I confirmed it was, he said, "Wow, that thing is sharp! How much?". At that point the light turned green.

I’m only 34, but you know we’re a bit “behind the times” here in the south, so I was raised the same as you. The art of being genteel has become lost somewhere after my generation...

And if you’re nice to a girl on the internet, you get called a “simp” by the younger crowd that doesn’t know how to treat women with respect. I didn’t know what it was, so I had to look it up. Apparantly it is a term for someone sucking up to women to try to get sympathy, or some tail. Sad what the world is coming to, when simply complimenting a woman or being nice and respectful are frowned-upon.

I usually get waves back from them. For the most part the only group I don't really get waves from are the females that drive Wranglers. I have gotten some but not like I get from males no matter what age.

Lol, don't feel bad, just ignore the stupid neo-feminists who try to act like holding a door open is some sign of disrespect. I hold it open for anyone because it's polite. If I'm on a date I will make sure to get all doors for her and pay for the meal if she's comfortable (or go Dutch if she wants). If at any time she complains about it then the date is over with and I'm taking her back to her vehicle/place. It's what men are supposed to do, treat a woman nice and respectfully. If they see it as me looking down on them then we obviously aren't going to get along on some key things. She's free to go be strong and independent with someone else. Also, why don't women like to cuddle or hold hands anymore!?!? It's how I was raised and always told it's what women want lol. I hate millennials.

EXACTLY! I’m a “Millennial” by age only... I grew up around older kids, so I’m an anti-authoritarian anti-government anarchist Gen-X at heart. Dating at my age is hard... Dating in 2020 is a fucking joke. Where are all the good women? Oh that’s right, they’re already taken... :(

Also, cuddling and holding hands is now frowned upon? Shit, nothing like basking in the afterglow after you just thoroughly rang her bell a few times in a row.

We're in the same boat ;) Except I like law and order and rules. I think we should punish people more, but only the ones who do wrong. Less restrictions on us law abiding folk, less govt is good. Millennial is our generations nickname, I go by Gen Y because I'm not a degenerate piece of crap like so many of our generation seem to be. The snowflakes can be the 'Millennials'.

I'm about a month and a half into ownership, here in the western suburbs of Cleveland the wave ratio is strong, I'd have to say a good 80%, with no perceived biased towards it being a JT, actually just the opposite. Head on I get a lot of waives, but sometimes when they are close enough or at an angle, sometimes a secondary thumbs up comes that it's a JT (at least I assume that's why the second gesture). Heck, even got two waves on my first test drive that I didn't initiate.

For full disclosure, this is my first Jeep but I've ridden sport bikes for years, I'm already in the habit of waving, now I just do it in my daily too. :). There are hard core Harley riders that won't waive back at a sport bike, but even that is becoming less and less, which I'm happy about.

I like law & order, but some laws are BS, the government has gotten WAY too overreaching and powerful. I want minimalist government. The government should not be infiltrated into every facet of our lives, like it currently is.

Gen-Y is the gen after us... I wouldn’t want to be those soft pansies either...They’re softer and dumber than our generation. They’re the ones you see on all the college interviews that can’t give you any logical reason they hate Trump, they only know “orange man bad” and repeat their commie professors’ talking points. That’s why they got nicknamed as “NPC’s” (Non-Playable Charachter), like the characters in video games that you can only talk with, and they’re programmed to repeat the same thing over and over and over again.
