So I rarely leave my house without someone commenting on my truck. I have had so many people yell nice truck & have overheard many many teenage girls talk about it (for the record this is occurring when I am picking up or dropping off my kid, I don't go cruising for teenage girls or anything). My teenage daughter even volunteered me to drive her & her friends to homecoming so they could FLEX showing up in the bad ass jeep truck

Even when I bought mine I didn’t like the way it looked with the small factory tires. I knew it wouldn’t stay like that for long, so it didn’t bother me. Now after a 3.5 lift and 35s I think it’s one of the best looking trucks around.:jk:

Ugly? I consider the look as unique. Hell, I drove a 2006 Subaru Baja (turbo 5MT) for 14 years and loved that thing!

Wonderful vehicle the Baja! Any head gasket issues?

It's the utilitarian look that I love. I REALLY wanted a Rover pickup but my wife made me come to my senses-I needed something more reliable than the Rover.
I don't like the look of the plastic bumpers especially the gap to the front fenders, but I'm cheap so they will stay.

Negative. The turbos had a different hg than the NAs, plus, it was running stock boost and most of it's life was highway with the cruise control set. It seemed the folks with turbos and hg issues were almost always modded running higher boost, and driving the crap out of them. 140,000 miles when I sold it.

I have never had a jeep before but always did like the basic look of a Wrangler. I always wanted an H1 to take to local events and parades and such as they are not practical. When the Gladiator was announced that fit all my niches and can be daily driven. I like the utilitarian and military look of them for sure. I get lots of comments too that folks state those are ugly in stock form but yours looks fantastic. I now see why the stock models are a blank canvas as they get modded to the nth degree in a lot of cases.

Ever heard that? My 16 yo son's friend said, "that's the ugliest truck ever - why would your Dad want one of those", when my son mentioned I was thinking about buying a Gladiator. Funny thing is the friend's Mom just bought a new Porsche and I've never really been a big fan of Porsche looks especially the Boxster's and SUV's (too Jelly Bean for me). Not saying the Gladiator is gonna win any design or style awards with that box hanging off the back but you can still go rock crawling, pull the doors and top off plus the extra utility of a pickup bed combined with higher tow capacity. To each his own, I guess.:)

Well I guess to each there own is right
For the record I love my JT, but my next purchase will be a porsche 911. I passed on a $90,000 Porsche 911 and bought my JT instead. In 5yrs there will be a 911 sitting beside of it. I'll probably part ways with either the BMW 440I or the Mustang 5.0. More than likely the mustang because the 440I had a hardtop convertible.

Also for the record my wife hates the JT, mainly the color and the back, but that's a good thing because she keeps encouraging me to add mods to it to make it look better. Rear bumper next. I just agree and buy the parts;)

LOL, kids riding high on two 26" rims ought not cast stones.

When I was a teenager I would've been happy to have a used moped if it meant I didn't have to bum rides.
I'm always saying kids are spoiled rotten these days but I'm usually the biggest offender! My oldest son got his license 6 months ago and he was pestering me to buy him a used G37x. I'm thinking more like a 10yo Rav4 with 200K miles if I did agree to buy him something (with him kicking in half!).
