Picked it up Friday, 4 weeks to the day I dropped it off. I literally couldn't be happier with this AMW kit. And being able to run 87 octane with it, to me, makes it perfect.

Nice! What kind of hp/tq numbers does that motor produce? Is the extra weight in the front end noticeable?

I couldn't get an answer from AMW about the HP on 87 octane but the 91+ tune gets you 425 HP and 410 Ft lbs of torq. The weight isn't noticeable and nothing had to be changed out atleast with Metalcloak springs. Drives the same as it did before, maybe a little better planted but it's hard to tell.

I've got a heavy set up but it's not even comparable. The torq is ridiculous and driving it back from Boone I'd push the accelerator on the interstate and it seemed like light work for the 5.7 to blow by people when passing.

Total cost installed?

Plus tax, not a dime more. I made sure there weren't other costs I was missing before pulling the trigger. I had an aftermarket front drive shaft but sounds like stock drive shafts have enough slack to work. I have 4.88 gears which were great for the 3.6 but a little over geared now. Not enough to do anything about it but if I ever had to do the gears again I'd go back to 4.10.

cool, im on the fence between the 5.7 or the 6.4. trying to determine if the extra 7k is worth the 6.4

It looks like you and I have a similarly weighted rig.
I’d be very interested in your MPG difference (if any) after you stop smiling when you stomp on the GO! Pedal.
Im thinking that those of us with heavier rigs may not take a big hit on mileage.

I was at 14.5 mpg on the 3.6L and so far I'm averaging 17 mpg on 5.7L. I definitely don't get crazy with it, I was more after the torq. But it will get crazy.

This is a performance sweet spot. Have you seen any information if this effects the towing capacity?

With the 4.88s what size tire are you running? I am waiting for Calif to allow these,,, LOL. Looks like the upper radiator hose is pushing against the air intake.

That is awesome. Offroad I've never wanted more power than the 3.6 but when I'm pulling the camper cross country I'd really lile the extra torque. I think thw 5.7 and being able to run 87 is such a well rounded package. Very nice. Definitely the package I'd go for
