Water does get in. It’s not waterproof, but for a daily when it’s a light rain, it keeps you dry on the ride home. Wish it was a little longer in the back. If it’s a downpour, you’re going to get a little wet.
Might be able to find them used on the marketplace.

Rain gear isn't quick and that's why I don't use it without help.
Depends what top your using. I have gotten a bit of a system down on my rain gear cover and I can have it on in a matter of minutes giving complete coverage in most any weather condition. Me cheapy lightweight somewhat water repellent cover I can have on in a flash but very limited and certainly would not go to it in moderate to heavy rain or rain/winds. I an put the Rain gear on with my soft top up or down as well as doors on or off. It does not play nice with my jpeggs mirrors though and will leave a slight gap in the front of the door. With the mopar mirrors it seals up tight. I think if your someone kind of on the short side and maybe short arms you might have a bit of trouble with the rain gear top as its very solid and heavy duty making it a bit on the heavy side.
I had the stock rear seat box when I got mine. I pulled it and swapped in the lockable box from 813 Fabrication. You've got to cut the underside of the seat fabric to fit the lockable tab but it's worth it. Comes with a divider panel so you can have the 40/60 split.

Have you had it long enough to determine that it holds up the test of time (granted JT's have only been around a couple years)?
Looks loose in the back, does that cause pooling of water on top?
Completely waterproof and has never failed me.

I have the Rain Gear cover as well. The fabric is quite heavy...which is the reason it will not fold up enough to fit under the seat. When removed, the cover is folded over width-wise and then rolled back-to-front (or front-to-back) then put back in the canvas bag which results in a cylindrical package approximately 18" diameter X 24" tall. There is some looseness in the back when the rear top is off...which permits enough room to fit over the rear top when you run with the rear top on and doors/freedom panels removed. A simple folded up towel on top of the roll bar (under the cover) keeps water from puddling.
And how big is the packaged Mopar cover for comparison?

Yeah, i haven't seen anything, though you could probably come up with a clasp of some sort that attaches to the bottom of the seat and onto the side/front of the cargo divider thing (whatever the standard thing is called).
Thanks. Something like that might be in my future. I don't mind if it's just a little damp. My backseat passenger might though. I'm just not willing to pay what the aftermarket soft tops cost, though
