I haven't seen alot of options for door off mirrors so I thought I would share what we use for our JT's. Got these knock off Harley mirrors on Amazon for around $40 for the pair. The included studs are barely long enough so I bought some 4" long m8 all thread and cut them to the proper length. These work great.

While I envy the savings of some of the homemade solutions I see people do, I wouldn't trust them at 90mph. Lange Originals I trust at 90mph

I would trust these at 110, if I were willing to go that fast!! Actually hit 85 all the time and not even the slightest bit of vibration.

I’m using quadratec quick release mirrors for tj/jk. Had 2 sets for the jk
I need the door pin hole to run soft doors. Ha. I’m only using 1 bolt. They hold fine and don’t vibrate at speed limit.
@85-90 with doors off or 1/2 soft doors on, running 40” tires, I think the wind shakes your eyeballs more than the mirrors!

I have some cheap Amazon ones that fit in the top hinge hole. They have plastic washers but still vibrate a little. I mostly am driving around town so it doesn’t bother me.

Yep. $8 Amazon mirrors FTW.

Yeah, i went on the highway across town and before i got off the mirrors went turned all the way back from the wind/vibrations. i tightened as much as comfortably possible, the tubes are a lil squeezed in now bc of how much i tried to control the shaking.

I had mine flip on me once with the thumb screws. Learned that day one hand isn't capable of applying enough torque. Ever since then i turn the thumb screws with 2 hands and they haven't moved at all. Been running lange original coyotes for about 9 months now, with doors off every chance I get.

Alternatively, they do come with non-thumb screws that you could put an actual Allen wrench on and gain some mechanical advantage with a single hand

I haven't had issues with the thumb screws on my Lange mirrors. I've tightened the screws on the back of the mirrors to reduce vibrations.
