My favorite colors are Gobi, Sarge Green and Sting Gray. My wife said I could get any color I wanted as long as it was Sting Gray. I literally brought home a white Mojave, dealer had a great deal on it, turned around and took it back for the Sting Gray. She wasn't kidding. lol.

Agreed. This is a wonderful time to be alive if you like gray vehicles. ? It seems like each automaker has at least a couple different shades of the best vehicle color.?

The color of my '55 Chevy truck. It's a 2012 to I-don't-know-when Honda Milano Red. I wanted the darkest non-metallic red that was not burgundy. I love bright reds but I thought I would tire of it after a few years. My truck has been painted since 2017 and I still love it, still gets noticed.

Thats a nice color, I know many people used the VW version IIRC like a Bolero red from the Jetta platform, actually not a bad red was thinking of doing my 70 Nova that red with a big semi gloss/flat black stripe run up the middle of the trunk to the hood,

Gobi. If they hadn't done a limited run of Gobi along with the option of the ecodiesel I wouldn't have a Gladiator. That was the tipping point for me.

I love Swedish Racing Green though, ie Polestar Blue. Dunno if I'd like it on a Gladiator, but I'd still like to see it.

Thanks for the kind words. I debated and debated whether to use red at all! I REALLY liked the idea of Hugger Orange too but again I thought I would get tired of it after some years. I think I made the right choice.....for me.

Thank you so much. I'd specifically wanted a '55 big back window since my 30's (I'm 67 now) it was a total derelict. Hadn't been registered or driven from '99 til 2010.

The guy I got it from bought it from the original 1955 owner that had gotten too old to drive. He only had it 6 months, got it running - badly and decided it needed more than he was up for. So in my little pea brain I kinda feel like the true 2nd owner. It had a 283 with a dead cylinder, a 350TH trans and had already been switched to 5x4.75 lug husband rearend. I thought I did well for $4600 in 2011. I got criticized for paying "too much"!

I won't entirely hijack this thread (yeah, right) but I didn't like how it rode, decided to install IFS and it slid down a slippery slope into a frame-off full rod-storation. 6.0 LS, 4l85e trans, 4 wheel discs, AC, PS, PB, R&P steering, Corvette C3 IFS, rear axle flipped on top of leaves because I then-thought I'd use it as a daily and might tow with it. I still think about going back and putting Vette IRS in it. Someday maybe.

As it was. Then while a "shop truck" look before the full redo.

Some sort of medium-dark fish and wildlife , state park employee GREEN! Maybe with a very light glitter dispersion just to make it highway/workplace friendly.

With the same low budget black vinyl trim I got now. (2020 sport-MaxTow)
