How are you liking the Kanati Trail Hogs so far? Any issue balancing them?

So far so good. I’ve had them up to 75 mph and fine. Today I’ll air them down on a local trail. I’ve had them in heavy rain on streets and they performed well. They’re remarkably quiet as well. Discount mounted and balanced.

Edit: DT is having trouble balancing. Bounce at 65-75 mph. I’ll report back when they rebalance.

Most tires have a good starting point to mount for balancing. Check the face of your tire for a set of dots. Mine it was the yellow dot that needed to line up with the valve stem and it makes balancing faster and easier.

Following this because I am interested in making the jump to 35s. Currently have 33 Falken M/T and I hate them. For those that went from 33 to 35 what was your experience with mpgs? More importantly what about gearing? I’ve read that getting to 7th or 8th gear might be an issue? True? I’m looking at MICKEY THOMPSONBAJA BOSS A/T

I didn’t hate how the Falken MTs on my JTR drove but when I swapped to the Maxxis Razr 35x11.5s I noticed improvements across the board. I also did the teraflex 1” and daystar 3/4” spacers, mopar LCAs and fox steering stabilizer. Jscan programming the true tire size corrected shift points, and I improved one mpg to 16.5. No regearing needed on 35s. Love my jeep truck. Go for it!

Looks great! I have the same AEV kit waiting to go on when I have time. Have you noticed any change in articulation? I’ve head the stiff springs can affect articulation but not heard real world experience.
