Key word is proper. I can fit 40's on mine stock... but it'll rub like hell. I guess if you are only interested in going to the mall that would be fine.

By the way, you also said "with a minimum of work"... thought that spacers and some leveling pucks were a minimum of work...

Go back to your hole, Troll...

Crawl under your own bridge, with wheels with proper back space/offset and on the Sport versions trimming of the fog light close outs 35's can be fit. That is the MOST work of trims.
Rubicon and Mojave can fit 35's with ZERO work AND go off road with a minimum of rub. That alone shoots down YOUR statement of " 35's will be diffiicult to properly fit on most/all JT's without a minimum of a level kit". The use of "properly" is vague and your opinion only.

Just because YOU assume everyone that wants 35's is going off road doesn't make it true.

If YOU would do the research on this Board you will find that the largest majority want Daily Driver conditions only.

Ok, proper fit will need a level lift, without that he cannot fully flex the front without rubbing. Stock wheels will allow the tires to rub on the sway bar and the control arm, so will need spacers or different backspaced wheels.
Negative Gray Squirrel.
35's might fit at full articulation.
My 35's fit no problem. Only modification was a zip-tie to pull the corner of the fender liner in 1/4". Mine are Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 315/70R17 which spec at 34.62" and fit just fine on OE wheels with no problem down to 15 psi on rocks.

Check your local tire place first. I say that because some places mount and balance is included in the price.

So, on my Overland with 2.5/1 inch lift, and mojave wheels, I rub at full lock both sides... control arm, and sway bar, but I get zero rubbing anywhere else, even when flexed with the sway bar disconnected.

The 2 friends that drive Rubicons, 1 runs 35" wildpeaks on stock rims no lift, and gets a minor rub only on sway bar, but a lot when disconnected flexing. The other with 35" Baja Boss has level lift, offset wheels, and zero rub turning or flexing.

Did you put in a sway bar disconnect on the Overland?

False information, it has been proven wrong repeatedly.

Every trim of JT can fit 35's with a minimum of work.
Not so much the tire size but the tire/wheel combination.

With no lift my Duratrac 35s on Fuel 17" +1 Offset fit no rubbing.

i think if you are testing the water on 35's, I would look at facebook marketplace or this forums market place. Get some decent used ones and see if you really want to stay with 35's or dable in the 37's area. Plus you'll be helping a fellow forum member out.

Overland models have a slightly more narrow axle than Rubicon, Mojave, or Max tow models.

Yep, that’s why my buddy’s JTR only rubs just a hair on the sway bar

Yes, search the internet and do your own research.

No one knows what brand, what type you want.

I suggest you stop signing up to random sites and asking moronic questions that waste EVERYONES time.
