Not today but thought I'd share the front after cutting off the walrus horns, tossing the plastic skid plate, relocating the steering stabilizer up to the tie rod and removing all the OE brackets. So much better looking in my opinion and removes all the low hanging crap.

Installed Line-Xd White Knuckle Offroad rock sliders this weekend and did not have the easiest time doing so. I am not a rock crawler, but just a sandy trail roller here/up in northern lower peninsula Michigan. For the mere 3 months having this ordered vehicle… I sure missed having side steps for getting in and out.

The White Knuckle's are worth it. They will out last the Jeep.

Hell of a lot more ambitious than I am at the moment. I am way too intimidated to try that level of disassemble-foolery...
That and I’m worried about getting a rattle from taking all that apart. Pretty impressive with the Jeep there’s zero rattles in the interior even while off roading

Installed a Genesis dual battery system.

This is what it does

It Isolates the batteries when the voltage on the main battery drops too low so that the cranking battery can still start the vehicle. You can also jump a dead battery with the secondary battery It ties them together electrically for a short time to jump it. It replaces the small start / stop battery under the fuse box. Great for people with heavy accessories like a fridge who would like to run them at the camp site on the battery or anyone experiencing battery issues who wants to get rid of that ESS battery that's under the fuse box. I opted for the Full Throttle AGM batteries when I ordered the system. Not an easy install but anyone can do it by following the step by step install video on youtube.

According to Genesis on their YouTube channel it doesn’t cause any warranty issues whatsoever since your not changing how the electrical system works. Your not cutting into any harness, adding additional wiring, reprogramming etc. that’s the beauty of this particular system, it’s plug & play.

We don’t have inspections in SC. The tint shop states it is legal as long as it matches the legal tint on the back. It looks darker in the pic than what it actually is. It is the heat resistant tint to help cut down on interior heat. I asked it they could lay tint over the back half and they said yes. I may do it later.

I just need to find some in channel visor vents so I can leave the windows cracked.
I have a prescription for dark window tint for migraines that I sent to the DMV and had put on my registration (Virginia). Something to consider!

Only for batteries. But it would be like going to NAPA and buying batteries and installing them yourself - the new batteries have their own warranty once originals are replaced.

If I am seeing his install correctly, it does maintain the IBS so it's still a smart charging system in that respect, tracking battery voltage, temperature, draw, what's put back in, and theoretical SoC (State of Charge) - however, unless the system is told about the different main battery capacity, that won't necessarily be accurate.
It should have no impact on other electrical devices as long as the PCM can still collect data.
Voltage to almost everything in the truck is regulated, so it's unlikely to "blow anything".

Dealers may freak out at the complexity of these, however - because everything they have learned and gotten experience with as far as Jeep systems is out the window. Any issues with charging system or other electrical devices is going to leave them flustered - and needing to contact Genesis for help. They have their books and TSB and STAR - all worthless now.
It's more a matter of "I ain't gonna touch that thing" than void warranty. Each company can blame the other for troubles. So, just be aware. But if your headlights stop working or your turn signals stop blinking or the radio volume goes crazy - it ain't the new system.
As long as these batteries supply the truck with 12.4-12.8 volts, (not more or much less) the problem lies elsewhere if something electrical stops working.

Of course, that's based on the installer not messing up!!! Removing that fuse panel has been known to introduce a whole 'nuther set of issues for some folks.

That's all well and good but it really ends up with the dealership to say it does or does not void the warranty.
