I have a '21 sport S with factory rims and tire size 245/75-R17. Looking at buying Gladiator OEM Rubicon higher priced optional rims that have 315 70 17 (35 12.5 17) BF Goodrich KM3’s. Is there any issues I'd have just bolting the new tires/wheels on? What about speedo calibration?

Thx, Mark

If that is your JT in your avatar, no, just bolt them up.

You can check your speedo with a GPS device to verify, but you should be close.

The only concern, because you didn't mention it, if they come with TPMS they may or may not work with yours. There is a cutoff date in 2021 where they changed the TPMS and the older won't work with newer builds.

If it's not a max tow then your gonna rub on the lower control arms at full lock, you don't have the wide track axles like a max tow, Rubicon and Mojave have.

You will need hub centric wheel spacers to make them work with any rub.

I blew his avatar up all the way and it looks like he's got the lip on the flare.

For what it's worth, my old pickup did a bunch of the Colorado trails just fine with 30.5" tires.

Thanks all for the really valuable feedback. I'm sorry I didn't post in tire and wheel thread.... As mentioned, I do have the Max Tow so no issue there. But the TPMS is something I didn't consider (truck built in Feb '21), nor the shift points etc.

I'll ask another version of the question...is there a Gladiator OEM wheel/tire, that has a better look than my wheels (ie overland wheels for example) that I could just simply bolt on and not impact anything on my truck? I don't want aftermarket stuff, just hoping to improve the wheel look and stay "stock".

Forum guy, please move this thread to wheel/tire if you need to. Thx again, Mark

Personally I think the JL wrangler rubicon wheels and even more so the 392 wheels look really good. They have awesome bfg ko tires in a 33”. If you want to go bigger just add a level kit and a 35”.

The Overland wheels are a good option for what you want. Check the For Sale area, you can usually find a set for around $500.

Hell, I have a set of O’land wheels he could have for about half that…

Overland wheels are 18” so whatever you decide to do with wheels, your stock tires won’t switch over.

The only thing I don't like about Overland wheels is the fact they are 18" wheels.

You limit your choices of tires and they are more expensive because it is a niche size.
