See, I'd understand if it was a raptor! Haha just kidding. Enjoy your new ride, if this is what you choose to do. You still have another jeep, so if I'm in the wife's Wrangler or my Gladiator, and we cross paths, you'll get a wave.

I've got both. The F150s with the 3.5 are fantastic for pulling. The 5.0 is an ok puller too, just has to wind up. You hit the gas pedal on the 3.5 and when the turbo kicks in it is impressive.

I've got both too, great minds think alike

I wish you the best with it, I'd stayed with Ford P/U if it had a solid axles. Back in 1991 I moved on to Jeep for that reason and didn't want people asking to borrow or help move. (Ford Ranger) No regrets. A few years before the JT came out I almost got a Renegade....
thankfully I changed my mind a few days before delivery. If I needed to towed trailers more I'd have a different truck for it. Heck a good friend of mine has 4-5 F250s and F350s. he's towing and all over for his company business. Great ride good mileage towing but average price for D.F. over $5 a gallon damn.
Only problem I had with my Ford P/U was mileage and leaking fuel tank as main problem. The heater core failed due to age "and radiator"freezing up due to drive across USA in December during a winter blizzard. Now if I was thinking about getting different truck I'd go Dodge or Ford.
Now if you said chevy..... uggg different story. :giggle:
I've met to many asshats that are chevy fan boys. ;)

They are trucks , life is short get what you want and have a good time, the F-150 looks like it will probably do everything you need great..............uh wait..............................OMG.....................think about it...............
................are hot young women in Jeeps going to wave to you anymore.............ok, ok, no worries, I drive a 2017 F-250 lariat crew cab truck for work, it is a beauty at over 150,000, miles, and it will go to 300,000 before I retire.
Jeep Gladiator I think I’m moving on. Possibly BF36B0D8-B519-4AB7-8838-3300B2D861DC

Why am I telling you this ,cause I'm such a Jeep guy that I wave to Jeeps in my F-250 crew cab with a strobe light on top , and ya know what all the girls still wave, so no worries you will be fine, they will wave, unless you aren't good looking like me! ?

Enjoy the new ride, if ya ever want to jump back in some kinda jeep your always be welcome......Jack

The F150 has the highest depreciation of all the trucks, especially the day you drive off the lot. Never buy a new one. They are so common, so popular which means there are so many used ones for sale, there is your depreciation factor. I like my JTR because it not so common and a host of other reasons.

To each his own. I have a few friends that have various versions of the F150, they have become way too Karen Soccer Mom vehicle for me. And what the hell is all of that dinging when you start it up then start to back up???!! Scared the crap outta me, "What did I break!"

Hopefully the F150 forum lets you keep your user name unedited.

I'm in the same boat and thinking I want a Gladiator, but just having a hard time pulling the trigger and getting rid of my 2019 RAM 4x4 Crew Cab with 23,000 miles on it for a Gladiator. Since the RAM has been a perfect truck and the ride and drive is what I would call perfect for our use I feel I would be going backwards on the trade. Now let me say here, I'm not an off roader so the Gladiator would only be a vehicle change for my personal liking and nothing else. I myself feel I would be making a backwards move with the Gladiator as the RAM offers much better ride, fuel mileage, more power with the 5.7 Hemi, and able to tow much more with power to spare. I can truly see where those of you who own a full size Crew Cab Pickup would have a hard time going to a Gladiator, as you would be giving up a lot of truck and I feel you would question your trade thoughts.

Don’t really recall doing any “whining” as a matter of fact I regardless of the issues have spoken rather highly of the jt. I have also committed money out of my pocket to try and solve the over heating issues even though I personally didn’t have them “to try to help the community” as far as “big rig towing ??” My 19 foot 4200# trailer hardly qualifies. It is however well within the jt specs. However a full size will obviously pull it better. Furthermore I still have a jeep in the driveway and should that one continue to be solid as it has I will likely mod that one with the things I was planning on for the jt.
Good luck on your F150 you can’t go wrong with a Ford.

If I were making this decision and yes I agree you might want to dispose of your current jeep, if you want a bigger truck, 150, if you like your JT and would keep her if not all the issues, try a new one (assuming you get a fair trade in).

I really like the looks of the F150 and almost all Fords pick-ups, but i don't want a bigger truck (don't need one) and my JT-MO is optimized for exactly the type of driving I do on and off road in a truck...

Just do it. You already have the 4XE. The F150 will do everything better than the JT, except for one thing. Over time .... the F150 will become NUMB. Just another work/commute appliance.

Hell. Maybe you could trade back when/if they put the Tornado turbo six in the JT.
