So my auxiliary battery life was getting shorter and shorter. I mean at first if I didn’t start my Gladiator for a few days, I’d have to hook up the ol’ Zeus to get it started. Gradually over the next few months that time frame got shorter until last week it was down to about a day. So I’ve been eyeing the Genesis Off-road dual battery kit for a while and when the Gen-3 came out (along with the whole can’t rely on my jeep to start when I need it to thing), I decided to pull the trigger. Installed it yesterday and it was surprisingly painless. By that I mean I usually double to triple the install time suggested by the manufacturer because if there’s a way to put something on backwards, upside down, left vs right I will 9/10 do just that.

But this time it took me about 3 hours. Still a lot longer than it would for most I’m sure but I took my time and consulted the install video after each step.

**EDIT I have an SPOD connection issue with a KC Gravity Pro Light Bar. SPOD Tech sent me the fix but I don’t understand it. If you’re bored check out my post in the electronics area” and help a homey out**

I like that kit a lot. The previous gens look like a rat's nest of cables.

It’s Great. Spendy, but worth it to me.

Finally got motivated to do at least SOMETHING, and bought some plasti-dip on my way home from Waco yesterday to finally dip some parts. Going to eventually finish blacking out the exterior (with a couple of red accents, tow hooks for example) but this is what I got done for now. Removed the silver "GLADIATOR" stickers on the side as well, will either replace with something else or leave it blank. Also debating just debadging the overland badge, will have to wait and see how I feel.

Put the Gobi rack on yesterday. Ladders won't fit with the softopper, but I knew that would probably be the case going in.
Now to put the tent on... Really wish i had a taller garage.

Thinking of doing this rack but also want to do a hard camper top. Do you think there is the clearance for the hard canopy as well like your softtopper

The good times of replacing the Aux Battery. The stop/start quit working and the aux battery was in a constant charge state. I didn't want it to kill the main battery so I swapped the Aux. The start/stop is back but now to retrain myself to turn it off when I start the truck...

Tip - unless you already did this -
Charge each battery - aux and crank - independently with a good AGM charger.
Reset the IBS by removing/unplugging it for a few minutes and putting it back together.
It helped my 2020.
