I am looking for something like the Goose Gear Bed Plate but would prefer not to spend that kind of money on a bed plate :).
Does anyone know of another brand?
Or if you built one yourself how did you fix it to the bed bolts nylock nuts and washers, rivnuts in the bed?

Thanks.

Very interested in this as well. I am planning on building my own goose gear plate, was wondering if anyone had some dimensions for it on here.

I know right... it’s a sheet of plywood cut to fit the bed and lined with bed liner... anyone with a skill saw can make that easy day.

I ended up making one for about $150 plus a couple of hours of time.
$70 for the 5'x5'x1/2" Baltic birch and $80 for enough roll on Raptor liner to do 2 coats on each side.
Does no look as polished as the Goose Gear one but it works and once I put a fridge slide and some other things on there most of it will not be visible anyway.

would you share a picture or two? I'm curious how you mounted it to the bed as well.... I'm looking for a way to secure down things like a fridge, battery box, etc... but drilling into the bed of a brand new vehicle gives me goosebumps.

I ended up getting the place that installed my lift to drill 6 holes in the bed to bolt it down. I probably need to put some washers on there.

Do you have some dimensions for that plate you came up with, also tell me about your power junction you have going on there ;)

The power is just a Stinger fuse Block for the power to the bed and then a distribution block for the ground below that was installed by a local shop. Still need to wire up the switch panel and fuses for the lights and other loads.

1/0GA HIGH POWER MIDI FUSE BLOCK
(2) 1/0GA INPUT TO (3) 4GA OUTPUT DISTRIBUTION BLOCK

For the bead plate hope this helps. The notches at the tailgate are about 3.5"x3.5"

Where did you get 5 x 5 plywood?? Did not know that was even available. Today's project is to make this bed plate from 4x8 sheet, but would MUCH rather have 5x5.

Yep I have the Alu-Cab canopy
Did you do any kind of dust proofing of the holes in the bed for drains? I just got a cap and I'm thinking a plate like this would be good enough but not sure.

The plate alone will do nothing to control the dust getting in. I have an AluCab canopy and here’s the things I did to mitigate the dust:
  1. There is a seam running down each side of the bed just inside the wheel wells that I laid a bead of silicon caulk down. Smush it in and wipe it level.
  2. I used an assortment of automotive panel plugs (the little Christmas tree looking plugs) to plug any hole that wasn’t going to be used. Ace Hardware has a pretty good selection of these.
  3. There are two big gaps/holes near the tailgate on either side where the tie down loops are and they are odd shaped. I cut a piece of rubber to cover and used self tapping sheet metal screws to hold it to the bedsides.
  4. And this is the most important…seal the tailgate. I bought two different styles of tailgate seal. The first one was like normal weatherstripping. It worked well for a while but then ultimately started to fail where the bottom of the tailgate meets the bed. So I removed that section, leaving the sides still on (because that part worked well) and then went with the ECOOLogical GapShield and that has worked like a champ:
https://www.ecoological.com/gapshield.html

If you go with the GapShield, just make sure you cut it longer than the actual tailgate so that there is overlap:
