This is how it's Disconnect/Re-connect in the orders below. All this happens in just a split second:

1. Aux switch applies 12v to Relay-30 and to Motor Brake N/O SW.
2. 12V from 87A power the motor.
3. Motor spins pushing a piston separating the two half and also compressing a spring.
4. The switch rod has it's own pre-loaded spring that pushing it along with the motor.
5. Once disconnected, the rod will close the micro switch and activate the motor's magnetic brake.
6. Micro switch also activate at relay-85 to cut power to relay-87A (motor).
7. 12v from relay-87 continue to feed the brake motor. (This is redundant power for the motor brake, just incase the micro switch open while offroading).
8. Switch Off, cut power to relay & motor brake, the spring that the motor had compressed earlier will release/reset the motor and re-engage the bar.

Working on putting Fishbone off-road fenders and liners on my ecodiesel. Forgot what a pain in the butt this was, because nothing fits right.

Motobuilt washer tank reservoir doesn’t fit right. Called and they are sending me the revised version for the JL ecodiesel.

Fender liner on the driver side needed new holes to line up.

Fender liner for the passenger side isn’t getting trimmed up right now to fit as there is a frame bracket in the way. Just waiting on my compressor to fill up so I can use my cutoff wheel.

I forgot how much fun I use to have.

Finally bit the bullet and joined the "Wonder What He's Compensating For" club.

37x12.50 Nitto Terra Grapplers on Quadratec Baja Xtremes. Just a little fender poke and a meaner stance, exactly what I wanted.

AEV lift is up next!

Curious to hear your thoughts on the rock lights.
I got the remotes working, and they get REALLY bright at full brightness. I'm going to play with the options, but here they are at 50%, after coming back from a day of skiing in the mountains a few days ago (a little mud/snow covered). I like them more each day, and I think will enjoy much more during summer with doors and top off with some loud music while hitting slick rock.

Multi day project here...

I got tired of trying to find a spot for coats, sweatshirts, etc; they were always in the way wherever I put them. I looked at the various options that are out there for rear overhead storage and, let me tell you, there aren't many and certainly what was out there didn't fit what I wanted. So, since I'm retired and have time on my fairly-crafty hands, I made something.

The first thing I had to do was fab a bracket "structure" to support the rear of the storage solution. I've seen some guys make brackets that come off a couple of the roll cage screws but I wanted something more substantial. So, I used some aluminum angle and aluminum C channel to make an "H"-frame that runs up the back of the rear roll cage arms. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics...:swear:

Next, I grabbed a couple of old carbon fiber tent poles (from a tent I no longer have) and, oh, about 300 feet of 550 paracord:

NOTE: Unsolicited promotion here, but if you need good, inexpensive 550 paracord, head over to paracordgalaxy.com ...good stuff there!

Wow! The last six hours just flew by...

It's about 48' by 29" when taut. Some final bits of dressing up of things after fitment efforts were completed:

And it nicely keeps jackets and sweaters at the ready preventing them from getting lost amongst the gear below:

And finally...since I was being so craft-y and creative in the kitchen, I found something to do with all of those Quadratec fridge magnets, lol...reminds me of the Backway to Crown King at the wrong time of day...

Also the aftermath of losing the snorkel cap at about 65 mph. Thought that I hit a bird at first, sounded like when you thump a plastic pipe. Found it a few days later somehow.

I have the AEV snorkel on my JKU and that was my fear after install. I drove a small self tapping screw through the snorkel cap and inlet pipe as extra insurance.

Looks good! I like the netting you made. I have a jacket that's been living free on top of the rear seat, but I figured that I'll just stuff it in between my sunshade and hard top once I get around to installing the rear shade.

After chasing gremlins my GMRS and CB install is complete. Midland MXT275 and President Bill II. Fire Stick Fire Fly 3 foot for the CB and Midland 6db for the GMRS. SWR is pretty good on the Midland. 1.01 to 1.03 SWR on ch 1-7 and ch 15-22 and 1.1 to 1.3 on 15-22 repeater. I got 4 watts output on the lower channels and 14 watts on the high channels. The CBs SWR is 2.0-2.2 on ch 1 and 40, 1.1 on ch 20, 1.1 to 1.5 on ch 15-30. Not the best on ch 1 and 40 but thats the best I can do. Both radios are controlled by my Voswitch JL800. Both radios are mounted to the console with self tapping screws. There is a video on Youtube on how to mount them to the forward console support brackets. I did that but was getting alternator whine on the GMRS. Remounted to the console and the whine pretty much went away on the GMRS but I get it when I transmit although its tolerable as I listened to it on a GMRS handheld. Thought I would get better SWR on the CB but it wasnt the case.

I added a vermin screen to the upper air intake. made from gutter screen from the HD - easily formed to fit around the intake. It is just friction fit for now. seems pretty solid but will keep an eye on it to determine if a more permanent attachment method is required. Still need to do the same to the grill intake.
