The joy of getting my new Jeep is being hampered by my constant fear of it being stolen, I'm seeing ninjas in trees just waiting for my back to be turned?
Maybe not that bad but does anyone know how difficult these are to steal? I keep my fobs in a faraday box always and use a club also when I'm in the city. I live in the country on pretty secure property so I'm less worried about home. What are the best options?

as far as clubs go, if someone wants your jeep, a club wont stop them. clubs stop people who want to steal "a truck" from picking yours. they don't stop someone who wants your truck.

if you're already going the club route, may want to consider a hood lock as well. That will slow down (and hopefully deter) anyone who wants to pop the hood and pull the alarm fuse. Most thieves either have no idea how to pick a lock that needs anything more than a bumpkey.

Additionally, throwing a tazer to set the hood alarm can help scare away anyone who does get through your hood lock. If you've got the tazer you can also enable their pin start feature (though i've heard there's been some interesting interaction with ASS on the current firmware).

Finally, a kill switch. There's the type where you just hide a switch somewhere, or the type where you have a separate plug-in key. Ravelco Anti Theft Device is pretty hard to beat without a tow truck. The number of possible permutations for the Ravelco are too numerous for a thief to get lucky with some jumper wire.

Dang Kevin_D! I just check my hood, definitely doesn’t sound the alarm. (2021 MY)
I think it should from the factory though

Mine’s an early build, 08/20.

Huh…
So Jeep must’ve changed it sometime in early ‘21. Turds.

Don't read the threads about Jeeps being stolen. Insurance is what should allow you to sleep at night. There are many Jeeps on the road that haven't been stolen. I usually leave mine unlocked, or with the doors off to make it easier.

I got hood locks first thing, I'm planning on making a post about likes/dislikes and a hood that any asshole walking by can just open is insane to me.? I had never heard of that Ravelco before that sounds perfect. Thanks

As I just replied on another post, my least favorite thing so far is the absolutely nuts hood situation. No lock of any kind and no alarm! Crazy. Does anyone know how hard it is to even set off the alarm? I've jumped on it, shook the hell out of it, I can't set it off.

Been curious. Can you use one of the auxiliary switches as a cut off for the ignition? Why not hide it in plain sight?

sure... just have the AUX switch connected to a relay. You'd have to be careful about how you wired it so the AUX switch wasn't drawing current all the time.

Oh I have full theft coverage but that would still be a nightmare. Aside from the wait, you aren't getting the money back for upgrades and possibly worst of all would be police finding it damaged. Yeah it's a hell of a lot better than a total loss but something I will do everything available to avoid altogether.

Good looking Schnauzer, I used to have a miniature one of those, he was more likely to have been stolen himself? Great dogs though.
