Had my '21 Glad JTO in getting a fender replaced, and asked about the MOPAR 2 inch lift. Up here in Canada they want $2,800 (on sale!) for the kit (https://www.moparpartscanada.ca/oem...ift-kit-77072468ae?c=az0xJnE9NzcwNzI0NjhBQg==). The tech said he thought they were over priced, and I'm not going to disagree. Then he said a new kit was coming out next year, and the price would be better. Thought inquiring minds would want to know. And I apologise if this is old news.

I'm not even in Canada and agree it's over priced here too. Not heard about a new kit. But it was already over priced to start with but I was still considering it. But then recently they just raised the price another $200. For what comes with it (or should I say doesn't) compared to other kits, it's not worth it to me. Absolutely no reason to raise the price on an already expensive kit, except for the fact that they can do I'm over it. They could at least throw in a front track bar or something.

I've totally knocked it off my radar and I'm kind of glad not cause I'm planning on getting the AEV DualSport 2.5 now.

Wow this thing is getting expensive. I only paid $1,480 for mine. I felt it was a great value at that point.

It’s another $500 now and at $2,800 in Canada, that’s $2057 American!

Agreed, 1480 is a good deal, but at 2k I can get springs, fox shocks, and a set of arms for hundreds less.

The price of everything is through the roof. I remember a high school teacher telling us we would see this at least once in our lifetimes (I’m a 90’s baby) and boy are we feeling it.

You’ll be happy with the AEV. Having had both it rides way better and doesn’t sag under load like the MOPAR does

Yeah I've done tons of research and reviews and I think I will too. Honestly I'm kinda glad it's worked out this way as opposed to getting the Mopar like I originally planned then wanting the AEV later. Should have it by the Spring I'm hoping since I'm getting rid of my stock wheels first.

I do wish there were more actual 2" suspension lifts on the market. I don't really want anything more than that. 2.5" is a bit too high as I want to keep it as low as possible.

Still $1180 where I live, I think they’re discounting them just to get the rest out.

You don’t have to buy the Mopar lift from a dealership. If you shop around you will find it for less. I’ve ordered from Alberta and BC for a lot if Jeep parts and I’m in Ontario.
As for the tech knowing what mopar is putting out I wouldn’t count on that.

Oh heck yes - you can pick your choice of some decent parts for that price.

Yeah, but the MOPAR kit becomes part of the truck and part of the warranty and if the truck warranty runs out in less than 2 years, you get 2 years on the MOPAR parts.

The tech - yeah, doubtful they have inside info on parts like that, but even if they did, how will MOPAR release a 2" lift kit that costs LESS than the current kit? Huh? Another kit, costing less? What do they lave out, the springs?
There's nothing they can do to cut the cost on that. The LCAs, the springs, whatever, all cost what they cost.
Why a new kit? What's wrong with the current one?

Just too many things wrong with a statement like: 'they are coming out with another kit and it will be cheaper.' especially about a lift kit, coming from a tech. Maybe he's been to some class - but cheaper and MOPAR don't go in the same sentence. It's like Senate intelligence.

I was right there with you on that. Look into the AEV 2.5" though. I initially didn't want anything more than a 2 inch lift myself, considering I'm running and plan to keep running 35s. Didnt want a huge wheel gap. But after seeing pics it doesnt look bad at all, and what's another half inch especially on a quality lift.?

I use my Jeep for pulling our camper and need all the advantage I can get LOL. My JKUR was lifted, big tires, heavy skids, bumper and sliders, roof rack and all those things took away from the daily function of the vehicle. I told myself this Jeep would be different ? . But yeah, half an inch isn't much.....at least with lifts.

Careful with the AEV. Their build quality and ship process is sub par. Put a 2.5" AEV lift on my buddy's Wrangler and they shipped two passenger-side swaybar link extensions, their bolts were brittle AF and mismatched metals. We had to jury-rig some of that shit and cut liberally and ended up replacing bolts. AEV customer service wouldn't support jack shit.

Buyer beware with AEV.
