Stuck in "in production" since 2-20, is this normal?

As title says, I'm getting nervous as my Gladiator has been in production for almost a month now. Back on 3-7 my dealer said it was in "final inspection" but no more info.

I chatted with Jeepchat and they supposedly opened a ticket to escalate, and I have a new estimate of delivery of April 17th, a month from today.

Seems way to long to be in an inspection phase and to be honest I'm wondering if something happened or what's going on.

Has anyone else ran into this?

Placed order on December 28th and order tracker just shows in production.

It’s not normal and I just spent 45 days in production on my Wrangler build with the same information being in final inspection for weeks. Not sure what that means but I plan to do a very thorough self inspection when the Jeep arrives. I hope it’s not due to defects found after making it through assembly. I assume the quality control process for builds and inspections are the same for Wrangler and Gladiator before they ship them out the door.

Maybe not normal, but probably happens more than you think. My current '22 Gladiator was ordered just about a year ago. I didn't have it until August. While waiting, I ordered a '23 'just in case'. If the '23 showed up 1st, why take a year older Jeep? Received the email that my '23 had been built and was shipped on Oct 15th. Jeep tracking still says delivery TDB and no window sticker. I personally know the GM at the dealership. They have no clue where it is or if it will ever arrive.

It's an automatic, but Rubicon with pretty much everything but smokers group.

My guess is there waiting on a part for assembly and it bight be somewhere on their lot. Mine didn’t come with switches or proximity entry, which is very strange considering how else it’s optioned. They stated that it was a parts availability issue.

Sucks, but you just need to be patient. When we ordered my wife's JL the online trackers were not real time and the updates were rarely accurate. The VIN never pulled any actual info ... it final showed in production and it was our dealer that notified us that it had shipped. Build time was 4 months. I personally would not have the patients to order ...

There is a few options like the headliner and spray in bedliner that are done post production of the main assembly area. That can be back logged and causing delays.

I don't mind being patient, I do get frustrated with misinformed. I originally was told Mid march, and now my vacation plans are messed up.

I did get the bedliner so that may be a bit of what holds it up.

I'm mostly just trying to see if this has happened to anyone else as it's new to me, last time I ordered a Jeep the info was spot on.

Finally got a follow up email saying " At the present time, your vehicle is pending installation of additional equipment " with the same estimate of April 17th.

Hopefully this ETA is actually close to being right

Dealer followed up with shipped to body vendor. Not sure what that is, but it's movement!

This phase of the build process drives everyone nuts. Hopefully your truck gets there soon!

Body Vendor is where they install all the accessories that do not get installed on the assembly line.
