Haven't you ever done this?
My lawyer advises I do not answer that question.

So that device actually requires contact with the bolt to close the circuit for conduction heat? I have seen similar older devices that had just a closed coil loop heating element

What am I looking at here? Is this one of those round coil heaters? Can't quite tell.

It sounds like the dealer would try drilling it out too...and taking the whole body off for that I guess is really the next logical step but MAN that is invasive! and extensive. There has to be another way....

I sure hope you are successful with drilling it out.
Yeah, it's the Mini-Ductor II Handheld Induction Heater.

Works sort of like an induction stove top.........

No contact - the coil is insulated.
It generates a high frequency AC current that generates magnetic field that in turn generates eddy currents in the work piece to heat it.

They warn you - don't be near one with a pacemaker, etc. and remove all jewelry. It's supposedly safe to put your finger in it - unless the coil got hot by contact with the hot metal you are heating.

Good to know and ironic. Actually getting a pacemaker put in next Wednesday.
Yeah, watch strong magnetic fields and electric currents.
A friend, Art Moose, used to run Moose Magneto - racing ignition systems. He had heart issues and ended up being told - no more leaning over car fenders, no more work with strong magnets (he has a killer magnet charger) and no more work on the high-voltage ignition systems. I bought a few of his tools a few years back. He wanted to sell me his whole business but I declined - didn't want to take on even MORE work.

Hoping all goes well on the pacemaker thing - seems to be not all that uncommon these days.

Thanks. Actually will be my second device. Had one for 5 years before it got removed a couple months ago for other reasons.

Trying to get ready for when the weather clears up enough to go camping again.

Still have to figure out how to get switched power back to there, but I have a JL400 on the way.
Remind me, who makes that bracket that attaches the fridge to the trail rails?

Installed the @TeraFlex rear geometry correction brackets.
First drive - it feels less harsh and less hoppy in the back end and more planted. Maybe I'm imagining things, but it also feels like the Jeep rolls easier when coasting. Pinion angle thing maybe.

It's a pretty good workout to install, and I had to use a ratchet strap to pull things together to get the last LCA bolt in, but it's not awful. The right tools sure help. For example, torquing to 111 plus 90 degrees is easier when you can run that 90 degrees with the impact.

The only reason I can figure the smaller bolts are there is to perhaps prevent the span from bowing out under duress.

They're easier to get in with the wheel off, but you need the vehicle back on the wheels before you tighten the control arm bolts.

Since Mo was so clean and sparkly I drove him down to the far side of the front yard for a glamor shot.

Installed some side steps so my poor wife wouldn’t have to keep using a little fold up stool to get into the truck anymore, plus extra protection is always nice. I wanted the ACE Engineering ones, but these Barricade ones were less than 500 for the pair delivered. I wanted to keep the stock rubi rails and these went on in conjunction no problem. They stick out about 3ish inches, just enough step to get yourself up and in.

Great feedback!! Is it just me or does that spring of yours look bowed some?

Also, did you see if at full droop if the spring would unseat itself? or does it stay in there?

I didn't try to get to full droop. I might tinker with it tomorrow.

Get a GOOD 7/16 bit .
Also, the drill doesn't go through fully perpendicular to the outer face of the bracket. Just let it center itself in the other hole and get you a starter dimple, then switch out to 1/4 or 5/16 and work your way back up the 7/16".

I'll double check the spring but the camera was set wide angle so it may distorted from that.

Please do us a favor - make sure they don't break any bolts in the process, and make sure the battery doesn't do this -
