Still doesn't explain why it shows both diffs locked and the sway bar disconnected at 68mph.
Ya know those marketing types - the painted apples, the burger slid forward in the bun to make it look bigger.
Likely a poor attempt at photoshop by someone who has never even driven a Jeep.
Knowledgeable Jeep people like yourself will shred such pics.
They don't know any better.
Frankly, the way people are these days - I wonder how many will even notice.
Me - I looked at the radio and other stuff I have always wished was better/different so I ignored the speedometer.

If they wanted to be clever, they'd have had a future date on the clock and the speedo indicating 88 mph.

We had our '19 JLUR 2.0T eTorque since new and have had zero cooling issues; even when dragging a 3500 Silverado up the beach and my tires were NOT aired down lol
Love it - and makes me feel more confident with our purchase.
We know how forums go............. likely a few had problems and suddenly they all need better cooling. And/or - they were towing 5,000 pounds when it's rated at 3500.
I wonder how the Silverado owner felt being helped out by a 2.0 liter Jeep HAHA.

It is probably the same ones who had JK's and complained when the JL's first came out. 99% of them will cup their junk and buy one eventually to wait for the next change to snivel about.
Haha, yeah. I remember the moans and twisted undies when the 4-door JK came out. "It's the end of real Jeeps, it's just a SUV for soccer moms". Actually, there were similar whines for the YJ to TJ, when they changed the suspension. We can see how all that turned out, cuz no one offroads with a 4 door at all ?

Some say, from what I've read, that the 2.0 needs more cooling...... if what I read in the Wrangler forums is correct, this could be one explanation as they move toward more small, turbo-charged engines and expand the 4xe line-up.
Just "guessing" - don't hold me to that, I'm going by what others with the 2.0 have said "it needs better cooling".
We've not had our 2.0 in hot weather, it's only been driven in 70 degree temperatures since we bought it in January (and that was in Florida) so I can't say how it would respond when we get to 100 here this summer.
The 2.0 cooling issue on the Gladiator test mules was due to towing in the 6000 to 7000 pound range they expected to sell it at. In the 3500 pound range the Wrangler JL 2.0 vehicle are rated at, it was fine.

When the Jeep engineers talked about it at the Gladiator Launch, they stated there was not a good business case to address the cooling issues of a 2.0 in a Gladiator. They did not specify if it was engine coolant and/or turbo cooling that needed to be addressed.

anyone else notice the additional front bumper 'extension' with the factory Warn Winch ?

1680731928028.png
I installed these on my 2020 JT when I got the Mopar winch plate for the Mopar steel bumper.

These extensions come were part of the Mopar winch plate kit.

They contain larger-than-standard crush cans come and account for the extra distance of the fairlead and (in my case) the Factor55 Flatlink.

And as others have said, they (hopefully) keep the winch bits from being immediately messed up during a low-speed straight-on tap.

lol i love the difference between this forum and the JL forum. Most people here are very excited for the changes and hope to see them come to the Gladiator.

On the JL forum it's a good 50% complaints, many about false or exaggerated claims.
Like Jeep made a statement that all models would be electrified by 2025. That doesn't mean every car they sell will be electric it just means there will be a 4xe or EV option on the Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer, etc.
Or people complaining about those center vents saying they won't work as well. Like how tf you know that.

I'm really curious to see what comes to the Gladiator. TBH I'm likely selling mine. I'm very interested in a Wrangler 392, especially now with red seats ?
Yeah that forum has been super toxic lately…I’m tempted to find a better forum/or just stick around this here JT forum lmao the initial 2024 order date thread got taken over for a while with bickering. Not sure what the mods are doing or if they need more but…it needs some policing at times lmao

Anyway, I agree with you and many others…I hope most of this, if not all of it, comes to the JT this MY24. A Willys with a rear locker would be ?

The lack of reading comprehension on the web these days is scary.
Those statements have been out there for a while now and yet people still believe "oh, wow, no more gas Jeeps by 2025!"
OPTIONAL. It gives us choices, works the PHEV into the equation, giving them experience, time to learn and work things in. And it buys them time.
It's not simple to intro new drivetrains, new engines, new designs. It's crazy the paperwork and annual filing car companies have to do - even if simply moving the cooling fans or fuel filler, they've got to report it to the EPA as it impacts evaporative emissions.
It is what it is - like it or not, if we want Jeep to survive, we've got to let them do what it takes.
Anyone who doesn't like it can easily start their own company. I mean, it's so easy!

That's very different from the ones I'm used to. Looks like to replace the axle shaft itself you have to remove the hub?I don't see how it bolts externally to the hub. Looks spline driven, unlike a Ford or some others that bolted to the hub and could be unbolted and slid right out without removing anything but a handful of bolts.
Almost looks like it's made like a front hub.
Can't wait to get my hands on the details, even to look at/inside one. But that picture doesn't totally impress me, sorry.
That hub assembly bolts to the end of the axle tube - and there's an o-ring seal between the axle housing and hub and it does look like a seal by the bearings when I magnify the picture. Hard to see for sure, though. But that hub does bolt to the axle tube and there's an o-ring, watch for leaks LOL (hope not, hope I'm joking, messing around)
If i was a MFR i would try to use the same hub assembly for front and back to cut down of unique parts to stock and keep costs lower.

It would be real nice to if all 4 hubs were the same and you could just carry 1 hub as a spare on trips.

Looking over that as best I can, magnifying it, trying to find details, I'd not be surprised to see this as that sort of attempt. The way the actual axle goes into the hub........ maybe that's where they are going.
Would sure be nice if you blow a hub bearing to swap one out, no matter the corner it was one, you'd have a spare.

I wish corparate execs at Stellantis would get their heads out of their asses and offer the 392 in the Gladiator before the hemi is gone for good. That would be an upgrade worth trading current Gladiators in for.

Guess you haven't paid attention........
And that's just your opinion, nothing more. The masses, the majority, don't want it. There's tons of 392 equipped Jeeps out there unsold.
If you want Jeep to survive, skip the 392. Besides, that's the past and the hemi is old news, not the future.
They have EPA and CAFE to satisfy.

I remember the end of the world when the CJ-7 came out! “It’s too long for the trails! And how dare they put an automatic in a Jeep!”

It was very interesting listening to the AEV founder talk about what they had to do, and what seemingly small changes would require expensive testing for the ZR2 Bison. Since it's an OEM package, not aftermarket, even what is thought of as an "easy" change, like bumping up tire size over the standard model, could be several millions in retests.
