The CP4 isn't an issue as long as you use a fuel additive with lubrication or running biodiesel blends. I've got a buddy that runs biodiesel in his truck, and he now has 415,000 miles on the CP4 with no issues. The recall will take years to complete. It's not a fast or easy replacement part. If there's any sign of metal, then the injectors, fuel lines, and fuel tank get cleaned or replaced. The parts will be a slow release.
I wish them luck on my body bolts if they have to pull the cab...

I hear you on that... the shop busted the retainer tower on my drivers rear when installing my Rock Sliders... I luckily was able to get the bolt to rethread and tighten up after 3 hours of trying. It was a very tedious task.

I dont know about reliability, it wasnt the fuel pump, but the turbo went out on my '22 and they had to pull the cab off...I was not happy seeing a "new" truck with the cab in the air. Now it has a squeaking kinda noise in the left front...guess I need to check tightness on the body bolts...pisses me right off

This will be interesting for me. My fuel pump went out on NYE and Jeep ended up replacing the entire fuel system. Which took about 50 days for all the parts and installation to be completed. But they replaced the pump with the same 68501449AA part that is listed in the new recall. My jeep was built in earlier 22 but wasn't originally included in the first fuel pump recall notice.

Has to pulled the cab off just to replace the turbo is an insanely bad design. Like the oil filter with the vacuum line run right across it lol.

We need Jeep's engineers to performs some maintenance on their own products.

You're gonna get another pump. Hopefully it doesn't takes 50 days this time.

If you can recreate it, slap a GoPro down in different spots. That may help.

25,000 miles, zero issues. I run hot shots, and have the Green Diesel tune.

Many of the pumps in CA seem to be B20, does this add enough lube in your opinion?

Most definitely. Studies have shown that even B2 outperforms all aftermarket fuel additives in terms of lubrication.

Was the turbo an outright failure or what was the reason for the replacement? Getting a whirring noise at aroun 1200 to 1000 RPMs and not sure if it is some kind of air surge at the airbox or the turbo or even if its normal.. its more prevalent in the cold.

Got the recall on the App today obviously with no known timeframe for parts. 22 JTOD just about to hit 15k, no additives no biodiesel, no plans on using either.

The turbo was leaking oil, found on my last Jeep freebe oil change. I hadnt noticed which is unusual for me, I generally am under one of the vehicles a couple times a month. Anyway, there was oil coming down the back of the engine and onto the dpf or exhaust piping area. It was starting to get on the frame there too. Dealer said turbo seal was gone and needed replaced. I never heard any noise over the typical flutter these things have or the sucking sound of the intake. Took about 2 months to get all the parts, I drove it home and then very infrequently till fixed
