With the RSE if you plan on doing 6s or above, highly recommended that you get the armor that goes over them. You can see armor attached in pic. It’s like a second skin on the steps.

Ask me how i know. ?

RSE are the real deal.

Absolutely. I didn’t add the armor for several 6-7 trails in Moab, but added it for the rubicon. Absolutely necessary.

White Kunckle sliders. Frame mounted, you get to keep the oem Rubi rails. These things are bomb proof.

Wow... nice like and really strong. I like having the step and keep my factory rock rails and not have to add wiring, worry about switches and motors.
Questions..
What options do you have : Fully dimpled? What is the 1 inch lift? Did you do the drill install option for extra strength???

They are dimpled. The 1 inch is without the Rubi rails. I did the drilling for extra strength.

Interested in the RSE's for my 22 Jeep Gladiator. Any 411 on what I should pay for a set and the best place to purchase?

You’ll love them. I got mine from Todd at Deutsch Off Road in AZ. I got a very fair price and couldn’t be happier.

If its motor driven or electronic in any way, it will fail, if you love to off road. I got these bolt on steps for my sliders. I have 4, but rarely use the back seat ones. 2 bolts to put on or take off. two easy and much better than attempting to get warranty work done on something electronic. I'll be in Moab the week of 5-12 if you'd like to see them in all their simplicity.

I have to disagree. I’ve raked my RSE steps over the coals, and they just won’t quit.

LOL - really? I guess your truck is going to fail.
The motors and electronics are sealed. Do the maintenance like they suggest, will be fine.
No worse than any other electrics on these vehicles.
Besides, their support is beyond great.
I looked into steps like you have that only are a little bit lower than stock Sahara or Overland steps - not helpful as they are still too high for some of us. The RSE steps go down a lot lower, more help.

We tried the steps installed on Jeeps on the dealer lot and frankly, those that are only 3" or 4" lower than the sill aren't any real help, IMO (and in my wife's opinion)

They are roughly half-way between the ground and the sill - a whole lot better than something that's still clear up at the rocker panel area.

Yeah, heavy. 50+ pounds a side?
But dang, they are built like locomotives.

Oh weird I thought they were more like 250 for both..... 150 or less I could possibly be ok with

I can lift them onto milk crates without a lot of trouble so I know they aren't any 100 each.
Shipping weight is 186. Their boxes and packaging are heavy.

I see people on the Jeep forums using low numbers that just can't be right.
These are heavier than two 25 pounds of cat food but not any 100 pounds each for sure.

You can safely assume less than shipping weight due to the packaging and so on.
