Mojave skid under armor priority

My Mojave now has a Artec full belly skid and front LCA skids, and now the 'cut to fit' factory front skid back on.

What is the next few priorities for protection underneath and in what order?

Thinking rear LCAs, differential, axles? I'm fine losing an inch of clearance, I just want to be able to drive over giant Legos without saying "ouch".

What are you currently dragging/hanging up on now? Upgraded diff cover maybe?
If youre crawling over big enough obstacles that youre needing skids, I would make sure to have some body protection as well, rock rails/boatsides or steel fenders

Nothing yet, I'm still outfitting before I blow something up on the trail. Not hugely experienced with offroading these Western US trails so want to make my underbelly as idiot-proof as possible while I learn tough lessons.

I'd rather spend $250 now on a "maybe I'll need it" skid than $2500 later in a "yep I needed it" skid.

My vote is for cast iron diff covers and a rear diff slider that extends far enough to protect the input pinion, like the one offered by Next Venture. More info here:

If you get the Next Venture skids you can probably skip the diff cover, I have cast covers no skid as I don’t need as much protection. The Next Venture skid is awesome though. Get RockHard or some brand of rear lower control arm skids and rear shock skids soon also, front weld on lower control arm skids are on my list, just wish someone would come up with a bolt on version. Full belly skid is o my list but it is a big chunk. …..Jack

If you go this route for diff skids, no need for covers. The skid protects them completely. I have them front and rear, and don’t have a single scratch on my diffs. The skids on the other hand have been hit over and over.

You do have to trim the plastic bumper a little bit, which I found quite easy "nibbling" with side cutters, rather than the dangerous box knife approach. The provided trim made it look like it belonged from the get-go... but unless someone's laying underneath, they'll never see it. They turned out great and look like they should have been there all along and they also provide a small step for those times you need to reach over and get something out of the bed or what-not.
