Very true story! I wish I had a wrangler around here that I could get to design on. I feel I could do better then what is out there for it now.
From what you've shown so far, I believe you could do up something better.
Too bad we live on total opposite corners of the States or I'd volunteer my wife's Wrangler for prototyping.

That being said, if you really wanted, I'm sure there would be someone close willing to work with you.

Again they look fantastic you're pretty talented at this for being a hobby. I do fit all of your criteria if you've not found your beta testers lol. But I'm not opposed at all to paying your production prices, they look great.

The more I keep building onto this version the more I like it over the trailer lights too. This is really starting to look like it was made for the housing, Instead of just stuck in with a rubber graumet ..
I like the trailer light for the old school vibe, with added bonus of..if you backed into something the light would just push through the grommet and not break. If one did stop working for some reason it could be easily replaced at any parts store, marine store or even Walmart.

But, hey, your the one making them, so keep at what you want.

There are definitely wranglers all around here. Guess I could start going to jeep meets and meet some people....

Okay I think I'm ready for production.
I just need connectors to arrive, and place a order for a bunch of lights.

What's going to happen first. I will send probably two pairs out for people to test and report back to everyone the quality and if they feel it is worth the money, along with testing it in everyday use.

So I need people who:

1. Drive their jeep every day and let it sit outside all day.

2. Goes off-roading so I can see how they perform with chassis twist.

3. Washes their jeep like a ocd person so I can see how they perform from scrubbing, soaps, waxes, polishes and whatever else.

I would prefer the two people I send it to, to be all the above lol.

So when I get these sent out, I will start a waiting list. No sort of deposits will be made until after testing. I also need to read the forums rules for selling on here before I start production.

I will also offer painted tail lights, but only for the single stage paints, like black, yellow, white, red and whatever other non metallic jeep colors their are.

These will have a lot higher of a price tag due to sanding, priming, and painting. Painting will be a base coat clear coat process... usually 3 coats of each. More than likely looking at around $1000.00 for painted tail lights. Let me know if that is something you all will be interested in.
I meet all the above, except I don't wax mine but once or twice a year. I do wash regularly, by hand and at the car wash. I also live in the Pacific Northwest, so a variety of weather.
I, too, live in the Northwest, but inland, where it's hot & dry.
I meet your criteria as well, minus the waxing part (but I could make an exception for the tail lights!)

What about the jeep badging? Are you a fan of chrome/silver? (though looks better on black) I thought about trying to print a cover/overlay.
Also, These tails/housing should survive NY/northeast winters? we like to go from 5 one week to 45 the next and then back to getting a foot of snow.

I think the taillights should be fine in all weather... Just want to make sure... PETG plastic can survive everything lol... PET plastic is what water bottles and most soda plastic bottles are made of.

Hmmmm I'm not a big fan of the silver badging ... 3d printed cover doesn't sound so bad....

Question is 3m double sided tape to hold it on?

That would definitely get copied by the Chinese instantly. But I might take it on. Great idea! Thanks!

Ya 3M will hold just about anything.
This stuff is really good, and comes in various sizes.

Some jurisdictions may require reflectors on the side, as found on the OEM.

I think you’ll find it’s a US DOT requirement.
But nothing a strip of reflective tape can’t correct.
