Hey all.

I wanted to share my experience with Quadratec as it pertains to their signature brand tube doors in case anyone is thinking about them or is in the fence about them. I’ve always wanted tube doors and was really excited to get these, but I have had such a horrible time with them. Ultimately, they gave up and asked for them back and sent me a refund because they didn’t want to deal with it any longer.

I recorded my experience for anyone interested. Has anyone had similar issues? Better? Worse?

@Quadratec and poor quality control. Name a more iconic duo.

I haven't been into Jeeps for that long, but when I started i was given the impression that Quadratec had a good reputation. I don't know if the owner is getting greedy or what, because their self-branded products as-shipped not matching how they appear on the product page is not a one-off complaint. I've heard it multiple times before and experienced it myself firsthand.

And you can't convince me they had to cut costs to offset losses associated with decreased volume because i've spent a combined ten+ hours on hold waiting to talk to customer service, so they have to be selling enough stuff to keep CS staff busy (though in fairness, when you sell bottom tier garbage, CS engagement % does increase).

I'm paraphrasing here, but the part of your video where you posit if they are sending out useless bump stops just to see if they can get away with it feels like it rings true for the company's new direction.

They should make it their new company slogan:
"Quadratec - Let's see what we can get away with!"

Something changed about 2 years ago with them and it cannot be blamed on COVID like a lot of businesses like to do. They use to be a lot more engaging on the Jeep forums and really would drill down on issues like this. Not much anymore.

I will not be a hypocrite and say I will not ever order or buy from them, but they are not my first stop when shopping.

I'm still willing buy from them, but i do limit the types of things i'd consider ordering.

Also I go in with the expectation that something is going to get f'd up, so their price needs to accommodate for that fact up-front because i've played the "we screwed up, but wont offer a refund so here's a credit that we'll make it INCREDIBLY difficult to use" game with them before.

So while they haven't lost my business absolutely, they have lost is functionally as my last order through them was over a year ago (and was only a center console organization tray). It's not that I haven't been cross-shopping them in that time, it's just that i'm willing to pay slightly more to get what i need somewhere else, so unless they have a real sale worth talking about i'm not interested.

The new bumps they sent were long enough but the issue ended up being the protruding part. I had half a mind to get a drill bit and grinder to modify them myself but something about spending a grand on them to have to do that really didn’t sit well with me. God forbid I screw it up you know? Ha

Hello Edwin,

I am very sorry for the experience you have had with these doors. I can assure you that we did not give up on you. We just want our private label department to be able to view the doors that you had to figure out the problems you were experiencing. I am more than happy to have a different set sent out to you. We want you to be able to have the best experience possible with our products. We have so many customers that love these doors, and we stand by our products. I have sent you an email to see how you would best like to proceed. I look forward to your reply and resolving this for you.

Thank you,
