so my Topliner just arrived, and before I can even get started it's not looking so great

I think I found everything still in the box??? But what are these pieces of shrapnel that were on the ends of the weatherstripping?
emailed Coverking for a parts manifest, they show (2) pieces of weatherstripping, I received 3... I watched the install video and didn't see anything about a 3rd piece installed? that just extra by design?

There's 3 total needed. One along the each door, and one along the front edge. I'd really encourage you to read through this thread and look close at all the advice/pictures, if you've got this many questions now you may struggle with install.

I have read through the thread, but when the box shows up ripped open and there is no packing slip, you tend to question if you're missing something. I don't want to start installing if the materials are incomplete.

Nothing wrong with that box, the loader likely had his hands full so he stomped his boot through the top and then launched it up onto the truck using a snappy front kick.

Question:

Can you use the KillMat - CK Liner and the Hot Heads Panel ALL together?

How does the CK Liner stick…does it have adhesive on the back of it?

I have the HOTHEADS coming but i mnow that there will still be areas that are white on the roof. Is there a way to utilize something to cover the other areas black? I have plenty of sound deadening.

Not sure "why" you'd want to put the Cover King over the Hot Heads. Kind of like wiping before you poop. The CK looks a million times better plus you can put as much or as little sound deadener you desire.

If your worried the CK won't cover every square inch of the white (and it won't), you can rattle can it black and have zero problems. Hot Heads won't cover all the white either.

There are several pics already on here showing you how it's done.

WELCOME10 works for 10% off. I tried it yesterday. Still looking for a 20% off.

special thanks to CoverKing of course with no written instructions included LOL (which has been said many times) and to an alternate YT video I watched of a guy who tried putting the 3rd weatherstripping on the *back* of the rear top, only to discover it wasn't working and he stops installing with a very confused look on his face ?

Looks like it's cheaper at quadratec even with the 10% discount
direct from CoverKing - 20% discount + tax/shipping was only a couple bucks more than ordering from Quadratec + tax and free shipping... I went this route because Quadratec had been unreliable with my order fullfillment timings (and CoverKing literally shipped mine within 7 days of ordering)

Where did you find the 20% coupon code? I can only find a 10% "WELCOME10" that works.

I used code JULY4 for my order (don't know if it is still active)

UPDATE- sorry, the above code appears to be expired

Finally had a weekend of no rain and installed the rear section. Really happy with the results and the weatherstripping was a PITA until I figured out what orientation to put it in. The kilmat did add some weight to the top towards the front. Not as bad as the TJ hard top but I did notice the difference putting it on solo.
