I bought some seat cushions which have helped some.
I think I'm too tall to add a seat cushion. It's already a very tall driving position, close to the roof, with limited visibility.

My unpopular opinion is that I'm going to use (if it ever gets built), my JTD for hauling classic cars around on occasion, and not really ever going off road (at least, not on purpose). I didn't want a full size truck, didn't like the Colorado at all, and didn't really like the styling of the other midsized trucks. Only reason I wanted 4WD is that living out in the country, no one will ever come out and clear our roads.
That makes perfect sense then! Have you tried towing with the JTD? It's going to run very hot, especially up grades. There are solutions but it's frustrating.

I’m very accustomed to winter driving. We got over 600” of snow this year.
I wish you could see me shaking my head not understanding why people live in places like this. I mean, I understand the words coming out of your mouth. I am reading you saying you live in that cold hell, but I just can't understand why. Thankfully, since you are there it left a place open for me to be in (relatively) warm Tennessee. So it all works out!

Haha to each his own. I'll take the snow here over the humidity in TN. I live in a ski town so the snow is welcomed. I would have a different outlook on snow if I wasn't a skier.

I never thought I'd see where not only are we measuring one person's vehicle against another's standard, but have gone so far as to patronize them by saying they're just supporting the 'real' Jeepers out there by buying Jeeps they 'don't use right'.

I guess the unpopular opinion is that people should be allowed to ride in their Jeep however they see fit.
I wouldn't say that people are using their vehicle incorrectly... People can use their vehicle however they wish. Just like they can build them however they want, angry grilles included haha. It's theirs to do what they want with. Personally, I don't see the point of owning a Jeep if you don't Offroad. I think there are many better vehicles to own if you only drive on the street.

It's similar to buying a high end sports car and never driving it fast. You are paying a premium for that vehicle to perform a certain way and you aren't utilizing it. On top of that, the suspension is stiff, tires are expensive, maintenance is expensive, etc etc. Do what you want, I just don't get it.

Lots of vehicle groups have their own quirks. I generally never follow the stereo types of those groups. I buy a vehicle for the purpose or I simply just like it. People are just weird and this new generation we have going now makes no sense by themselves. I just ignore most and keep doing what I want. If I get a duck my Daughter can add to her collection and I rarely wave at people mostly because I just don't pay attention most the time.

Having just got it and not paying attention too much yet, my unpopular opinion is... I won't want to wave all the time.

That might change as I meet people and comradery grows, but I've been there. I've been in the corvette/motorcycle wave club and at some point it just gets tiring to be ready for a wave. Will they, won't they, do I initiate, etc.

So far though it's more like, "Hey, I just got my first Jeep wave!"

Yeah, I get tired of waving. Not that I’m unfriendly. Back in the early 80’s, when I had my CJ5, it was different. You didn’t pass another Jeep every 5 minutes. Same with motorcycles. I tend to want to keep my hands on the bars, to maintain full control. Never know when you’ll hit a hole, or someone will pull out/runout in front of you.

My unpopular opinion - those stupid decals people plaster all over their Jeeps of Military logos, American flags and the Molan Labe stuff. You’re not a bad ass. You’re a doughy middle aged man (as am I)

It’s just like all the bad ass Harley guys who are dentists in real life, or just living out some Hells Angel fantasy.

Just stupid looking.

I don’t like the waving and now they have a specific type of wave. It was different before they made the 4 door Wrangler but now everyone has a Jeep.
