Overland hands down!
High Altitude vs. Overland.

The HA package is a good buy if you want all those options. It would cost more to add them to an Overland and you still wouldn't have some of the HA options.

I agree. My Overland is costing me more because of the options I chose than if I had ordered the High Altitude. So, if you wan fewer options and a lower price, choose the overland. Otherwise choose the High Altitude.

There's only 3 models.

Rubicon
Mojave
Sport
The rest of them are just Sport models with sticker/interior packages. So unless you want to high speed offroad or want the best ride..the Mojave is off the table. Now...do you need or want lockers or the look of the Rubicon? If not then any model of Sport that suits your needs...they all the same, save the Max Tow...

Is an Overland a Sport model? I wouldn’t call it that. Makes more sense to me to just call it the model name Jeep gave it.

Mechanically its a Sport yes. Base package axle assemblies, base package transfer case, base fenders, base sway bars...Its a Sport model with lipstick.

I'm not saying it to be insulting either, its just true. Clearly the "Overland" is there to be an aesthetically pleasing and tad more comfort model. But its a Sport model @ heart.

I don’t think it’s insulting. It’s just odd to not call models what they actually are.

OP doesn’t seem to care about what makes them up mechanically, but more about options. Which is where the different models come in to play.

Its just so people understand what they're buying.

Sell a base model Mustang and then make that same model but add leather and some wheels to it...its still just a base model mustang with leather and wheels...even if they call it a Mustang "Plus".

I still use the model names when talking about them. I don't call a Willy's a Sport...but if someone asks me to help them pick a model then I'll say there's 3 models, mainly. All 3 have their different capabilities...but the Sport, and all its sub models, have the same capabilities.

I mean, it's kind of a jab, its a trim model and you can't get all the options on a Sport.

Hey, did you hear the Mojave is just a Rubicon with different shocks that's missing a locker?

I think that’s terrible advice and you’re assuming what people want for capabilities. OP wants options.

There’s a great tool on the Jeep build site where you can select Gladiator and then click display model comparisons. You cannot option all builds to have the same things.

If a guy says he wants a sport but then proceeds to say he also wants all the options that come on a high altitude including the wider axles and lipstick as you call it, would you still steer him towards a sport model? Or, would you say, ”oh actually, there’s this MODEL called the overland high altitude”? Clearly, the latter.

I still don't understand why people ask this question when the answer is obvious. The answer to every question (including this) is Mojave
I felt the same when i ordered mine.. until i tried to make it a diesel. Ended up with a willys trim entirely for the included painted fenders and lack of the gaudy red or orange. The stock suspension on all of them with the diesel is garbage.

I bought the basic bottom of the barrel sport. It has manual windows, manual locks, steel wheels, manual transmission, and a soft top. It fu*kin rocks. It’s the most fun vehicle I’ve ever owned. Right now it has all the doors off and top down. And yes, i get compliments on it almost everyday. I love it. And it was literally $38,000 otd.

*I did install a 3- 10” subwoofer system which greatly enhances my driving experience lol.
