I'm guessing it's the same lift as before, just new shocks.

That being said, I'd be interested in the shock part numbers.
It appears they are basically the same kit. Per Chrysler's normal parts number strategy, the part number itself (77072395 for example) is carried over, and where it was an 77072395AA, then AB, etc. 77072395AG was the most recent part number for 4 door 3.6 Wrangler lift kit number. When I look up the 77072395AH, it shows if fits 2018-2024. That being said, I do not see a direct supersession from 77072395AG to 77072395AH, so there might be another minor change.

My original Mopar kit had 2.5's and they worked great. But it was my understanding that the Rubicon's came with 2.0's. in both cases no resi's.

Wow, I’m shocked with all the hate for the Mopar Fox lift kit here.

I’ve been wheeling mine almost every day since I bought my truck and have been pretty darn happy with it. Zero issues and I run it with a Rebel Off Road rack with a 23-Zero RTT.

Climbs over roughest terrain like a mountain goat with no squeaking, but nice and planted on the highway. Maybe I got a unicorn. . . IDK

I didn't have a problem with mine either and felt that they rode great. I don't want a hard/stiff street ride.

Jeep® Performance Parts Announces New Upgraded 2-inch Lift Kit Featuring Bilstein Shocks

https://media.stellantisnorthamerica.com/newsrelease.do?id=25045&mid=1
  • Legendary Jeep® 4x4 capability reaches new levels in Wrangler (JL) and Gladiator (JT) models
  • New Bilstein monotube shocks with remote reservoirs deliver increased performance with larger wheels and tires
July 19, 2023 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Jeep® is taking its legendary 4x4 capability to a higher level for current Wrangler (JL) and Gladiator (JT) vehicles with an upgraded Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) 2-inch lift kit from Mopar that includes specially tuned Bilstein 46-millimeter monotube shocks with remote reservoirs.

The new Bilstein shocks complement increased ground clearance and larger wheels and tires by offering consistent, fade-free performance in all conditions. In addition, a self-adjusting, deflective-disc valve reacts instantly to surface changes, giving the driver maximum control.

Remote reservoirs increase oil capacity for greater heat dissipation, while a unique swivel banjo fitting allows for a 360-degree rotation of the flex hose for direct fitment while protecting the reservoir oil line from contact. The new bolt-on JPP lift kit is easily installed in stock mounting locations with no extra drilling needed.

“Our Jeep Performance Parts team at Mopar is always looking for innovative ways to improve performance for off-road enthusiasts,” said Mike Koval, head of Mopar North America. “With more than 500 quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories across the Jeep lineup, our customers win with new options to upgrade and personalize their vehicles.”

Included in the new JPP lift kit are four springs, four Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs, front lower control arms, front and rear stabilizer links, front and rear bump stops, assorted fasteners and the JPP badge. The kit is specially packed in a custom, reusable wooden crate branded with the JPP logo.

“We can’t wait for our Jeep off-road community to experience the new Jeep Performance Parts lift kit with Bilstein shocks on Wrangler and Gladiator this summer,” said Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “There is nothing quite like legendary Jeep 4x4 capability for enthusiasts who want to tackle the toughest terrains.”

The new JPP 2-inch lift kit is available for 2018 model-year and newer Jeep Wranglers (JL) and 2020 model-year and newer Jeep Gladiators (JT). U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $2,095.

Following are Mopar part numbers for each Jeep vehicle model. See the Mopar e-Store for more information or to purchase.

On my 2016 Tacoma, Toyota offered a similar system with Bilstein shocks and coil springs and it was a great system. Having said that, I have the Fox/Jeep system on my 2022 JTR and it works great as well.

As an aside, the 2022 JTR I got for about 53,000 is now about 10,000 more for the same vehicle. I bet it wouldn't take six months to get one now as it did then!

Forgot to mention too, I definitely prefer fox 2.5 with aluminum body (better heat dissipation) over Bilstein steel body and smaller piston. I know a fox 2.5 has a 2.25in dia piston, the Bilstein have 46 (I believe they quote their piston size and not body size) and 46mm is less than 2in. I've definitely heated my shocks up pretty damn hot before, turned water to steam.

But, I push my rig hard and everyone uses their rig differently, so I don't hate on Bilstein. Actually good for them landing the contract.

Ive had no problems with my Fox shocks either. And its been on the Rubicon, Moab, Windrock and a few others. I have Bilsteins before on my z71 and they were pretty good as well. I like having a different option the remote resi looks nice.

Msrp is now $2100 for the kit, it's 40% higher than 2 years ago.
Yeah guess they had to make it look a little more worth it. Crazy, that much money for a not complete kit. Yeah it was 1300$ 2 years ago.

The Canadian Mopar website still shows Fox shocks. And honestly, at that price, I'll pass for now.

Has anyone heard any additional details about this new package? I’m wanting to see how the shocks compare to the 5100s and what the other parts are comparable to

I just bought a front set of 5160 for $320 from Northridge. It showed 2 left instock when I was checking out.

Hopefully they will helps with tons of washboard trails out west. Replacing my Mopar 2" lift Fox shocks.
Received the Bilstein 5160s and replaced my diesel Mopar 2" lift Fox shocks. Here are some data in case someone are curious.

Fox front shocks are 18" collapsed and 26.5" extended. 5160s for 2-3" lift, front are 16.38" collapsed and 26.87" extended.

I installed just the front for now, and man it has way more dampening for the heavier diesel front end. No more bang bang when going over sharp bumps or potholes. It's definitely firmer, but in a good dampened behavior.

With 1" front spacers on top of the mopar 2" lift springs, steel bumper and a winch, it has just an inch left of up travel on the fox shocks. It would probably bottoms out without the spacers.

The shocks were the main reason I choose the AEV lift over the Mopar one. Glad to see Jeep finally ditching the $hitty Fox ”branded” shocks.
I think that’s going to be my choice as well. Shocks and springs all ready for the upgrades I currently have. Bumper and winch. Not to mention moving to an RTT and half rack, it will eliminate the squat retaining some rake for towing. 35” X 10.5 tires on the burner as well.

That’s basically what I have. What tires are you going to get? That’s my next decision.

Anything away from these MT’s. Maybe Yoko’s, or something with an AT aspect with better road manners. I travel A-Lot! Almost 40k on my 2021 and 30 states to go. Back to Moab for a repeat. ?️

Not yet but we will keep an eye out for the component listings.

Has the shock part numbers surfaced yet for the Mopar lift? Do the different lifts have different shocks?
I have a diesel.
Thanks.
