It took several months but I finally received my new corded hand control pendant. I am still waiting for my coupon to purchase the wireless pod. Anyone know how long it takes to get the email? Warn said 6-8 weeks. I'm at 10 weeks from when I started. Says rejected when I search the status at Warn, but I have my new remote.

On my JLUR, I had 2 control modules go bad. Warn is aware of the problem. It was difficult to replace.

I got my new handset back in like January. I never received an email. Months later I wrote an email to complain, got a somewhat snippy email back minutes later that their records indicated I'd been sent an email (absolutely not received, not anywhere). They copied the coupon code in the reply, which worked. They do not seem to have a reliable system going. Just bug them until they cough up a code.

Using the code - watch out for extreme shipping charges eating up this supposed compensation. They might also have a "free" ship-to-dealer option, which is what I did because hilariously, their gorram website would break if I attempted to ship to home. Guess what, truck shops that deal Warn are open 9-5 so I had to take time off fucking work to get my free shipping. AND, I had to go twice because the two tiny little parts in my order shipped separately with no notification. I just get a call that my order arrived, I get there, only one part in the box. Other one shows up a week later. Thanks a lot guys, cost me way more aggravation than their overpriced shipping would have been if I'd been able to select it

Good to know what to expect. They seem nice on the phone. I'm not to upset about it. The time it is taking is killing me. I'm afraid I will forget about it.

I am upset about this. I bought the Evo 10 and there was zero info about a recall on the site when I bought it. I had no idea until I received the winch with a sticker on the outside saying it was wired only and the wireless had been removed. I would have never bought it if I knew wireless was not included. It is replacing a Smitty x20 that has wireless. I submitted the claim and had not heard back at all in 6 weeks. I emailed today and was told the wired remote was on the way and to wait ANOTHER 8-10 weeks from today for the rebate to buy the wireless Hub. I'm tempted to send this back and buy something else. Bluetooth remote is not what I bought. I really don't trust that like I do a paired remote. This is a joke and not what I expect from Warn.

I don't have the faith in Warn that I used too . Too much involvment with China now days . I say that but I just bought 4 Warn wheels made you know where.

Edit .. I have since sent the Junk wheels back that required 16-18 oz to balance . Same tires went on MOPAR slotted off-road wheels and the worse one took 6 oz on a BFG KO2 12.50 37-17

Warn isn't made in the USA like it used to be. Now it's assembled in the USA with globally sourced parts.

I have sent Warn an email regarding the coupon and a little note, that they need to do a formal apology or explanation on how they are handling the recall. I started my recall request in April. I received my replacement remote in June and still no coupon. Not sure I would use the coupon any more but I'd like to keep them to their promise.

I had one installed in early June when my Warn bumper came in. I was told the corded remote and winch were not part of the "recall". Was I duped?

How do I know if my Evo 10 is under recal? I have a corded handle, that apparently can be unplugged and used as a wireless remote too.

I got my EVO 10S on August 7. Mine had a paper in there that gave me the info about the rebate. They offered $100 for a wireless remote or toward any other Warn item in their store. The remote that came with my winch is corded only. I put in for the rebate. Haven't heard anything back yet.

Got my new wired only remote last month. Still keeping my original remote that now has the wired only function as a back-up. So basically I have (2) wired only remotes. Have not got the $100 credit yet though. Says approved on the site but also says 8-10 weeks from approval date before checks to be cut. Probably getting close to that soon.

What pisses me off besides the whole wireless function being gone is that I was initially under the impression that in the meantime with all the recall BS they were working on a "new" wireless/wired function remote which would be better and not have the issues with moisture, etc which was the cause of the recall in the first place.. AND.....that those would be sent out or at least be used to purchase with this coupon...Come to find out, its NOT a new remote, nor is that the purpose of the $100 rebate/coupn to compensate for....

Coming right from a WARN rep I spoke with who was nice and very informative nonetheless(not their fault). But the idea behind the coupon is to be able to purchase the "wireless hub" they offer for $79. The $100 credit will obviously cover that. Yes that gives you a wireless function, but it's not a remote with a wireless function. Point being is that even with the hub, it still gets "plugged" or "wired" in. Then it gives you the ability to use your phone to communicate back with it as the remote (of course with an app you also have to download). At the end of the day it isn't a super big deal cause I'll probably always be wired when winching anyways. But dont lead people along and then act like your doing us a solid by giving a new wired only remote and a coupon on an issue when really its only a work-around. Even with the wireless HUB, it alone had to be plugged in. Not really a wireless solution.

I went with WARN for the name and reputation. I get recalls etc. Not even mad at that fact. It's more of the way theyre handling it. Or should I say beating around the bush.
